To think that Kate Moss was wrong

...to say that "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels".

Well for a start there's chocolate...

OP posts:
cocolepew · 20/11/2009 13:09

And toast with peanut butter.

Pineapplechunks · 20/11/2009 13:10

YANBU at all and my size 14 arse is testament to that fact.

bibbitybobbityhat · 20/11/2009 13:10

I have two words for Kate Moss:

roast potatoes

saythatagain · 20/11/2009 13:11

She obv hasn't sampled the delights of a chip butty (thick white bread with proper butter) & tommy sauce mmmmmmmm

cocolepew · 20/11/2009 13:11

Maybe cocaine affects your tastebuds?

SixtyFootDoll · 20/11/2009 13:11

Bread and butter puddding

seaglass · 20/11/2009 13:11

IIRC, skinny feels chilly and bony, and now always makes me think of illness.

Give me chocolate any day

saythatagain · 20/11/2009 13:11

t

MitchyInge · 20/11/2009 13:12

how the pro-ana and pro-mia sites must love her

SixtyFootDoll · 20/11/2009 13:12

She isn't known for her intellect or cooking skills anyway.
Stupid cow.

PerArduaAdNauseum · 20/11/2009 13:14

Bread sauce, roast potatoes, green peas and gravy. Mmmmmmm.

Miggsie · 20/11/2009 13:14

Bring the silly woman round my house, I will force feed her my acclaimed chocolate brownies.

Grown men fight over them.

Actually, forget that...bring her round to my house, I need a new hatstand. She has all those bony bits that stick out so should do the job just fine.

And I'll eat the brownies.

PerArduaAdNauseum · 20/11/2009 13:15

Where will you put the umbrellas Miggsie?

Kate Moss only eats air and tissues.

Miggsie · 20/11/2009 13:21

I'll get Gordon Ramsey round to stand in a corner...when he opens his mouth, they'll be plenty of room for the umbrellas.

OrmIrian · 20/11/2009 13:23

Well I liked being skinny (well slim - nearest I ever got) very much. It did feel nice.

But it was nowhere near as nice as lots of things taste. Which is why I am no longer quite so slim Taste buds are wicked things....

Confusedfirsttimemum · 20/11/2009 13:23

Things that taste better than skinny feels:

Chocolate brownies
Chocolate
White wine
Red wine
Steak
Chips
Cottage pie
Cookies
Asparagus dripping in butter

I could go on, and on, and on.

Silly woman. What she really means is "nothing tastes as good as being rich and famous feels to me." And I'd still rather have my life (and size 14 bum) than hers...

BalloonSlayer · 20/11/2009 13:27

how does she know anyway?

It's not like she's ever been fat, is it?

If she had just dieted from 16 stone down to 10, I might - with a massive effort - just be able to bring myself to dredge up a glimmer of interest in her "intellectual" prounoucements on how much better it feels to be thin than fat. But only a glimmer.

TrillianAstra · 20/11/2009 13:27

Some people genuninely don't enjoy food that much, it's just fuel to them.

I feel sorry for those people. Food makes life nicer.

InMyLittleHead · 20/11/2009 13:31

I agree with her [hides]

She is obviously thin but she doesn't look ill. I read somewhere she's a size 8 which for her height is not freakishly thin. A lot of people eat too much. Also, it seems to be OK to slate her for her views on weight because she's skinny, whereas if someone who was bigger was quoted as saying 'I love being a size 18' no one would say stupid fat cow, etc.

Knownowt · 20/11/2009 13:34

What are skinny feels and where can I buy some?

Confusedfirsttimemum · 20/11/2009 13:35

Seriously? Ok, so all the comments about chocolate were in jest, but seriously, you agree with her?

The implication is that, when looking at any piece of food, she weighs up whether she would rather eat it or be a little bit thinner. That is the sense in which that phrase is used on pro-ana sites and I don't believe that even Kate Moss is badly-read enough to not realise the provenance of the phrase. I don't think she can realistically argue she meant "a king size bar of chocolate does not taste as good as being slim and healthy". She means that she monitors every single bite that goes into her mouth.

badietbuddy · 20/11/2009 13:35

See, I'm going to say that she's right. I have just about lost my baby weight, going from size 18 to a 12 and hope to get to a 10, which will be the smallest I've ever been. I was not happy stuffing myself with delicious food. I am much happier being at a nice weight. And no, I don't think size 18 is a nice weight. If we're going to crucify Kate Moss for anyhting, it shouldn't be this comment. The cocaine incident springs to mind
