Yes i think batman is fine.
My little girl wants to go out as a princess or a cat on Saturday will leave it to her.
However the general costume here is usually halloween themed (which i think batman is)

yanbu, when DD was little she dressed up as batman for every occasion (my mum had given her a suit for her birthday) we have many christmas, birthday etc. photos featuring a little grinning batman. Halloween seems an ideal occasion, tell your DS batman rocks!

YANBU! Any halloween party I've ever been to (adult or child) has been basically fancy dress. She is a meanie (maybe she just had a rush on batman costumes with noone wanting ghosts !)

Yes my cousin in the US says you can wear anything as long as it's a costume, does not have to be halloween realted, wherears in the UK it seems that most costumes are Halloween related.

But Batman is definately OK, my DS wore this 2 years on the trot, now he's 7, it's a horrid Scary Pirate thing from Sainsbury's.

dd1 is a sort of red devilly thing (looks like a hooker tbh), ds1 is a storm trooper, dd2 is a cat. not a black, scary one, but a pink one.

but we are in canada lol. at last night's thingy, there were santa's elves, scarecrows, and a few unidentifiables (culture gap, obv). v few scaries at all, and this was kids 4 - approx 14

although our debate last week was which of these characters they could reasonably argue was a 'superhero' for school spirit week. ds1 went as batman for that - i drew the line at a power ranger...

I am going as batwoman and DS (9 months) is a baby bat. Bats are scary. I'm in scotland though - didn't realise it had to be scary in england, haha!

I think anything goes. Last year DS1 was adamant he wanted to be a pumpkin. Then he found a Darth Vader mask and so Darth Pumpkin was born...

I am sending ds2 to a party tmw as Yoda as i am too tight to buy a special costume and he was given a Yoda one at xmas.

Plus he loves it, he goes round saying Jedi, Jedi!
