I have seen younger girls do it perhaps at 16, 17, 18 and though not to my taste just think oh well it's cos they are young, naive and don't know any better. Surely by 23 you should have stopped doing it? Especially when they publicly state that the reason is to show someone what they're missing

A friend's teenage daughter (18) is always posting pics of herself and friends in underwear/swimwear etc. Thought that was bad enough, can't imagine anyone older wanting to do it though.

I can't get over how many pictures some people post on FB.

I don't get it either. My 'friends' from school have been doing it from 13 years old on myspace and facebook. It screams "Attention seeking slut" to me I'm afraid,especialy when paired with hundreds upon thousands of 'friends' who they don't actually know and who seem to be of their preferred gender... I have two photos of me in a bra, they stay on my computer! Though, I'm not as concerned about bikinis and things, as long as it is somewhat tasteful or just obviously of the person having fun, not pouting and posing

I have loads of photos though. I upload most of the photos I take to facebook at some point, however I also have a flickr, which has the photos I like best on for my perusal

YANBU - I am desperately unhappy with the way in which young women feel they need to "be sexy".

My beautiful, lovely, intelligent 14 year old cousin has over 1000 photos of herself on facebook - many of them where she's gazing up at the camera pouting and you can see her cleavage. Then she tells me that she has a 24 year old man asking her out.

IT's weird isn't it. My nephew's girlfriend (about 23 I think) has loads of herself in underwear and swimwear, all pouting. She models and then posts the pics on FB.

The thing is, she's got a great body but not a great face [miaow] and it just looks odd to me. There's one of her pressed up against some tiles, body soaking wet in a bikini AND YOU CAN SEE THE LOO IN TEH BACKGROUND

mamag that's part of the problem I think - they all think they're blinkin' glamour models - but a fake tan, fake hair & fake nails will never make up for basically lacking "beauty". I have another 22 year old cousin who has a bunch of pics of her writhing all over the floor in the world's tiniest bikini - they look professionally shot to me. But as lovely and young and bouncy as her body is - she works in an office in East London and she is NOT going to be marrying a footballer or having a ONS with Jude Law any time soon.

I think some people should stop trying to mind everyone else's business for them. If people want to post pics of themselves in their underwear, it's up to them. If you don't, don't do it. But better a bit of cheerful exhibitionism than being someone who rushes round shrieking at other people to cover themselves up because their bodies or faces are in some way unacceptable.

At 23 she is no longer a child so, meh, whatever.

Do you now what SolidGhoulBrass you're absolutely right. I'm glad my nephew's GF has enough body confidence to be able to do this and its much better than her being self-conscious. I'll stop being such a miserable jealous old bag!

I'd rather be a "hideous shrieker" than devalue myself by draping my carcass over the bathroom so that some stranger on facebook thinks I'm 'sexy'.
