I have seen younger girls do it perhaps at 16, 17, 18 and though not to my taste just think oh well it's cos they are young, naive and don't know any better. Surely by 23 you should have stopped doing it? Especially when they publicly state that the reason is to show someone what they're missing

And that is your choice ski, it's valid and it's your choice

The point is don't waste time/energy judging other people. Live and let live and all that.

Now where is that eye-rolling emoticon?

Why don't you try and take each topic on an individual basis rather than following people around mumsnet taking out your frustrations? It's so much better for your soul.

gibbon Erm. You've just judged that it's "OK" to do it - so why is it not OK for me to judge that it's "not OK". Don't you think that's being totally and utterly hypocritical?

Thankfully my daughter is gorgeous enough fully clothed and feels no need to flaunt herself, she hasn't even got holiday bikini shots on her FB albums, which consist of 700 pics!
It's a bit "desperate" if you want to show your off body to strangers and it dismays me that 13/14 year olds feel that this is normal behaviour.
As an aside, my husbands new toy is an iphone and I was looking at all the available apps last night - at least a dozen "bikini babes" type things and not one of scantily clad men.
Do blokes ( other than 16 year old boys) really have random pictures of half dressed women to ogle on their phones? How pathetic.

I haven't judged ski. I said that I respect your choice not to pose in underwear and maybe it would be nice if you could show the same respect to people that do?

MamaG were they professionally shot or did she do them herself?

I think if they were properly shot I wouldn't have a problem with it as much. It's when they stand in front of the mirror with their phone/camera at arm's length posing and looking all pouty with come get me eyes and attempting to look all sexy and sultry.

I cant understand why you would do this but as long as she doesnt send any to me she can do what she wants lol

if my daughter ever did this (she is too young now but thinking ahead) I would go insane and probably take away camera, computer and anything else i faniced while I was at it - but then again she is only 5 now so maybe i am being over sensitive

Haha, on glamour models, my older sister is a part-time model and posts some of her modelling pics on fb. Maybe I'm being hypocritical about it however she does at least place then all in an album called modelling, whereas every single other photo and album on hers are family/friends pics. And she's 23 and never started posting those modelling pictures until she was 20ish! (And most of those pictures can be found in various car mags anyways ) And she's not the typical fake tan, fake nails, fake hair type of woman. Yes I'm probably being over defensive here haha

It's the children that bother me the most, and those of my aqaintances who I've seen doing these shots from the age of 13 and I've had enough of them by now.
