To not want to dress my 6yo DD as a mini whore, but as a little girl?

I feel really angry as I look round some of the popular clothes shops and see mini skirts, crop tops even 'bras' for my 6yo DD. She still plays with dolls and yet some of the clothes that are aimed at her age range are really inappropriate.

What happened to dungarees????!!!!!

Is it only me who feels like this cos when I get on my soap box about my friends just look at me as though I am nuts.

oh i love clothkits, i have made dd1 a few items from there, so simple to do. i wish they had a larger range of thigns to choose from.
i am a big fan of boden, john lewis and joules for dd1's clothes but my budget is somewhat reduced this year due to impending divorce and a new baby, but i have picked up some real bargains on ebay. even searching US ebay for gap, gymboree and even boden finds me lots of bargains and including post is still half the price of buying new.
