rather than virtual friends?
How long do you have to be on MN to be a "friend"? Do you all know each other really? Does it matter to you? Does it make you not post on some threads as you feel you are gate crashing a clique? Does me.

Am chuffed to have made the swish-sounding MmeLindt ROFL.

Am in awe of scottishmummy's suggestion. Did NOT think of that.

But then am disingenuous, apparently, so such deviousness would never cross my mind.

MmeLindt · 21/09/2009 20:58

I have never seen any of these people before, Peony. Between you and me, they are all a bit weird.

NotNameChangedHonestly · 21/09/2009 21:01

Yes, but never mind that, I just wanted to say that I think PlumpRumpSoggyBaps has got to be up there as my all-time favourite MN name. Its owner is obviously witty, erudite, caring, sharing, beautiful, slim, and I love her.

thesunshinesbrightly · 21/09/2009 21:02

Thanks shineon

PRSB
(sorry, but I draw the line at addressing anyone as Plumprump)
I am chuffed to be thought of as "swish sounding" which is far from the truth.

scottishmummy · 21/09/2009 21:04

tah dah the MN oscars more greetin than gwynnie.as wooden as kiera knightley

Morosky · 21/09/2009 21:05

I am an old timer but can remember that feeling. Even six years on I have never been a particularly liked mumsnetter but did have "friends".

I like being anonymous now, I can say what I want and know that when people say something to me they are not tempering their answe because of who I am = although they rarely did that anyway.

thesunshinesbrightly · 21/09/2009 21:06

which one the last one?

if i didn't know you - i would shout troll

only joking.

ZZZenAgain · 21/09/2009 21:09

would you girls just all GET OUT OF the way. Thanks

Purplepeony!!! Let me crush you to my bosom dear. (Sorry about the crumbs) but what's a bit of left-over salt and vinegar crisp between friends eh?

I'm her best friend now.

theansweris42 · 21/09/2009 21:09

I must say I just chime in as well, anywhere. Never felt unwelcome. Have been here about 18 months and though I don't "know" anyone I quite like seeing the same names come up. Feels Nice n familiar

BitOfFun · 21/09/2009 21:09

I would love to sweep into a thread bellowing "Don't you know who I am?", Morosky

MmeLindt · 21/09/2009 21:11

Guten Abend, ZZzzen. Wie gehts?

Or should that be a Zwiebelblootz?

ZZZenAgain · 21/09/2009 21:12

OMG what the hell is a Zwiebelblootz? I refuse to be in a quiche. Sounds too French, can't be having all this foreign muck. Shouldn't we make it a suet pudding, something noble and refined like that?

scottishmummy · 21/09/2009 21:15

you english can do suet, i'll have stovies

ZZZenAgain · 21/09/2009 21:15

we're practically blood relations on the German thread.

ZZZenAgain · 21/09/2009 21:16

stovies eh? Alright for the sake of good vibes

(What are stovies anyway?)

Purplepeony is my bestfriend btw in case anyone missed that

PlumpRumpSoggyBaps · 21/09/2009 21:18

Hush now, scottishmummy. I'm about to simperingly, gushingly and tearfully give my oscar-winning speech.

MmeLindt · 21/09/2009 21:19

A Zweibelblootz is a Franconian Onion Pizza, sort of like Flammkuchen (Tarte Flambé), we need Canella for that. Bet her MIL can tell us how to make one. They are terribly yummy. Just the dab for an autumn evening with young wine.

PlumpRumpSoggyBaps · 21/09/2009 21:20

MmeLindt- I don't mind being addressed as PlumpRump.

'Tis better than Thunder Thighs, which was my brothers' 'pet' name for me.

MmeLindt · 21/09/2009 21:20

Meh, DH is due home any minute. AIBU to prefer to stay on MN with my new fwends?

Morosky · 21/09/2009 21:20

BOF, I don't expect anyone to know who I am. Namechanging has given me a sense of zen and detachment. I have let go and no longer care.

I used to be on here all the time, I now only post the odd time. I have a clean house and more sex, life is good.

ZZZenAgain · 21/09/2009 21:21

can't we have Puff the mMagic Dragon instead?

Or can you make it a funny speech.

Oh, ML I LOVE FLammkuchen. I'd just never heard of Zwiebelbootz before. Flammkuchen is great, love it.

MmeLindt · 21/09/2009 21:21

Morosky
Who needs a clean house?
