To wonder what the point of embossed baby wipes are?

I mean, seriously, what's the point of embossing something whose main function is going to be wiping up poo?

Really?

I agree. Is mad.

Maybe the embossing gives more friction for very dirty bottoms?

kidcreoleandthecoconuts · 30/08/2009 16:27

God know! Maybe it traps the poo? I know something though the Huggies Shea Butter ones are lovely. I could sit sniffing them all day....DP thinks I'm a bit strange

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 30/08/2009 16:27

Personally, I wonder what the point of baby wipes are, but that's just me.

mosschops30 · 30/08/2009 16:28

I prefer them, they seem to 'greb' more IYKWIM

mosschops30 · 30/08/2009 16:28

'grab'

kidcreoleandthecoconuts · 30/08/2009 16:32

WTWTW - I couldn't live without wipes! What do you use ? A flannel? I use them for cleaning around the house too

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 30/08/2009 16:34

I have a big box of flannels, cut up towels and washable wipes, which just get ran under the tap and used for bums, hands, faces and spills .

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 30/08/2009 16:38

Not grown up bums, just dd, thought that could be mis-read......

@ fishy shaped cat food.

TAFKAtheUrbanDryad · 30/08/2009 16:43

WTWTA - if I was more organised I'd do that. I feel ecological guilt every time I use a disposable wipe/nappy. I think I may have killed approximately 4.7 polar bears.

hocuspontas · 30/08/2009 16:44

used on bum, washed under the tap, used on face . You don't mean that, do you?

MrsBadger · 30/08/2009 16:53

it is to enhance friction to try and emulate an old flannel, which make the world's best babywipes

I have sepearte ones for bums and faces

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 30/08/2009 17:08

Feck no, hot machine wash in between.

I know lots do have seperate ones for bums and faces but I just can't see the point when they go through a hot wash.

Still, not looking for a repeat of the the whole arse/face flannel thing.

I thank God for the little embossed designs.

It's the only way I can double-check that my dh hasn't cleaned dd's hands with Dettol wipes again

pinkthechaffinch · 30/08/2009 20:00

well, after reading this read, I am now going to get a load of old flannels and use them on dd's bum.

Can't think why I didn't think of this before, after all I stick on a load of washing every day.
