to think MNHQ should not send you details (incl. email address) of the person who has reported your post

Have been dwelling on this for a week or so now. I had a post reported , following which I received an email from MNHQ which they asked me a question, and below the email was, what I assume is the system generated notification MNHQ receive when the red alert button is clicked.

Through this I was informed of the username and registered email address of the person who reported my post.

Is this what normally happens when posts are reported? Because it has put me off reporting posts if my information is given out.

I think giving out the username is bad enough - as this could cause retaliation through the boards. But personal email is definitely unacceptable - with this information you can find out the persons real name (i.e. by searching for them on Facebook via their email address).

Now I am not vindictive or even too nosy, so I did nothing with the information I received. But other people might.

AIBU to think it's not on for MNHQ to divulge such information?

TheEgoHasLanded · 28/08/2009 22:37

FluffySaysTheDailyMailsShite · 28/08/2009 22:40
