..to really take a dislike people who I only know as paragraphs on a webpage??

I've namechanged for this, and won't name any of the MNetters that I'm referring to (so please don't either!). BUT, do you ever find the same MNetters on threads you are commenting on - and they always disagree with what you think??

This seems to happen to me alot and I find myself really disliking them, which is ridiculous. Sat here on my computer, they aren't even real people, just paragraphs of text on the screen so how can I dislike them so much??!

Am I the only one that gets this? Or are there more of you out there that are just as irrational as me?

Mumsnet is pretty far too the left as a whole I think.

I reckon there are plenty of people who think a lot of what daftpunk says but don't dare say it here.

Which is fine, the majority rules in these cases and of course there are plenty of messageboards out there that lean the other way.

daftpunk · 25/08/2009 16:43

greensleeves....don't think starting that thread would be a good move tbh...

i would like you to stop sticking the knife in though........please.

tethersend · 25/08/2009 16:43

I know! This should be made into some kind of newspaper column!

Err... hang on....

Morloth · 25/08/2009 16:44

Oh God we are not baiting the DM are we?

eh ? I'm being discussed in my abscence...

well, I don't think I am anywhere near as deliberately controversial as daftpunk, come on dp, admit you like to stir the pot sometimes, eh, eh ?

I think there are quite a few "straight" talkers on here and sometimes that is a euphemism for just being bloody rude (which I am not)

although, to my chagrin, I did have to name change once when I shamed myself by saying "once you've had black, you never go back ..."

in my defence, it was meant as a joke and wine had been consumed

so, sometimes namechanges can be because you have posted something completely stoopid

fishie · 25/08/2009 16:48

dp it is hardly sticking the knife in to point out that some of your views are not those that many mners agree with.

especially since you have just posted "i'm glad i'm not a "normal" mumsnetter.."

GreensleevesFlouncedLikeAKnob · 25/08/2009 16:49

"sticking the knife in"

I don't think so, really

AnyFucker · 25/08/2009 16:49

< starts considering new names......>

GreensleevesFlouncedLikeAKnob · 25/08/2009 16:49

NO I like your name!!!

Morloth · 25/08/2009 16:49

AnyFucker I say stupid shit all the time, it is a consequence of being gobby - just roll with it!

AnyFucker · 25/08/2009 16:51

I know Morloth, but I got an absolute pasting for that little gem

AnyFucker · 25/08/2009 16:51

thanks greensleeves, but you see, your faith in me may have been a ikkle displaced....

daftpunk · 25/08/2009 16:54

you are sticking the knife in by continually mentioning the few posts i've made on certain subjects.... those comments would account for less than 1% of my posts...but you just wont let go.....you bring them up all the bloody time..

i'm glad i'm not a normal mumsnetter was re; mumsnets obsession with anal sex..

junglist1 · 25/08/2009 16:56

Nobody here is on my hate list by the way

GreensleevesFlouncedLikeAKnob · 25/08/2009 16:56

naw

I develop a dislike for posters who consistently hold and express bigoted stupid views, not people who ocasionally drop a clanger and get pasted for it

I have stuck my big foot in my mouth hundreds of times on here and been thoroughly creamed for it

have also been "bloody rude" - and apologised for it a number of times

various posters don't like me - hence some of the malicious hinting about flouncers being pathetic tossers, when I am sporting a "I feel like such a twat, I lost my rag and flounced" nickname (which I am going to change back to my usual name, as soon as I work out how)

but no need for you to namechange, so DON'T

GreensleevesFlouncedLikeAKnob · 25/08/2009 16:56

I don't bring up you or your posts "all the bloody time" at all

nor do I follow you around MN

stop flattering yourself and leave me alone

GypsyMoth · 25/08/2009 16:57

actually i'm glad that i'm not a 'normal'mumsnetter too....

AnyFucker · 25/08/2009 16:57

noooooooo

fgs, if we start yakking about anal sex we will be here all night

blimey, whoever said this thread was a microcosm of MN was right

AnyFucker · 25/08/2009 16:58

thanks greeny

Morloth · 25/08/2009 16:58

My sister says that AnyFucker but in fairness she did marry a black man . We all groan and try to pretend we don't know what she means...

AnyFucker · 25/08/2009 17:00

yeah, morloth, perhaps if I had married a black man, I would be justified in saying that

but I didn't

shit

daftpunk · 25/08/2009 17:00

laugh out fucking loud..

i wish you'd leave me alone..

infact...you have my word that i will never post on a thread you start, and i will avoid you as much as humanly possible..

GreensleevesFlouncedLikeAKnob · 25/08/2009 17:00

ok

Lizzylou · 25/08/2009 17:02

OK, having read this from a fairly neutral perspective.

DP - Whooaaah there, don't think anyone was trying to be rude to you or have a go, think Greeny was just saying that you have different views from the majority of MNers, which you agree with, so no probs there.

Greesleeves - I really didn't think that anyone on this thread was hinting at you, in fact most people hadn't realised that you'd flounced.

Oh, and Scottishmummy, I agree with your take on nurseries.
