To eat all 3 twixes I have bought for the DC, and to do so secretly whilst bending over the washing machine pretending to load it?

No. Yanbu.

moondog · 30/07/2009 13:05

Are you ont now full of self loathing at your lack of control?

bran · 30/07/2009 13:06

All chocolate tastes better in secret. Twixes wouldn't be my choice though.

GypsyMoth · 30/07/2009 13:07

you'll make yourself sick woman!!!!

PrammyMammy · 30/07/2009 13:07

lol, go for it. yanbu.

basic · 30/07/2009 13:07

No YANBU you have saved them from themselves

CybilLiberty · 30/07/2009 13:07

I eat stuff with my head in a cupboard all the time. Then I wonder why my muffin top is spillling over my jeans

poopscoop · 30/07/2009 13:07

the problem is, i should have bought 4 and had one myself, but with 3 dc and 3 twixes it becomes a necessity to eat all.

I am sure you understand.

if they are double ones, then there is a finger for you and all three children which equals 2 twixes and the other one for you! Simple!

AnnieLobeseder · 30/07/2009 13:11

Sounds very reasonable to me!

savoycabbage · 30/07/2009 13:15

YANBU. People need food or they can become seriously ill. You did the right thing.

poopscoop · 30/07/2009 13:17

right, i have wedged 2 twixes in (they are doubles so 4 fingers). I feel a tad nauseous, but need to continue to the end.
Luckliy only 1 dc is in the house at the moment, but obviously I cannot give him the 3rd because he will sneak to the others and then I shall have to purchase more.

P.S. The bending over the machine is not to be recommended, it makes it very difficult to swallow so maybe follow cybillibertys advice and do it in a head height cupboard

savoycabbage · 30/07/2009 13:22

Could you not do some elaborate laundry folding, thus giving you the opportunity to cover your whole face area and also a chance to shove some more in when you turn your back to put the folded things on the pile?

poopscoop · 30/07/2009 13:23

oh god, I am laughing out loud at savoy.

Honestly, the lengths we have to go to for a treat for ourselves!

YABU! You should have locked yourself in the bathoom with them instead

HuffySpice · 30/07/2009 14:27

YANBU

I hid a crunchie under the cushion last night and snuck bites when DS turned his back. He sussed me thought, but by the time he'd worked out where I'd hidden it, there was none left.

The poor little fella.

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 30/07/2009 14:41

YABU

3 is too many and you won't enjoy them, same if you have to rush them.

Save them until later.

southeastastra · 30/07/2009 14:45

have a dinner if you're that hungry, 3 is pretty gluttonous (sp!)

ExtraFancy · 30/07/2009 14:50

LOL

My DS was eating a chocolate cookie earlier - I'd finished mine, so resorted to picking up the bits he dropped and eating them like a large mummy-shaped pet dog

Well, it saves getting the Hoover out.

poopscoop · 30/07/2009 14:53

I finished the task in hand. Well in cupboard. Yes, I feel gluttonous, and i can feel the weight on my hips already.

OP posts:
poopscoop · 30/07/2009 14:55

It is all your fault. You forced me to do this. 9 out of 10 mners who expressed a preference (lol) said it needed to be done

bleh · 30/07/2009 14:56

What my mother did was charge "tax", so she'd ALWAYS take a bit out of any chocolate she bought us.
