I have gone overboard with crocs after discovering them about 3 years ago when I hat a foot problem & couldn't wear ordinary shoes. I have got:
4 pairs of holey ones, in different colours
3 pairs of Women these

1 pair of Women these

and 1 pair of these

Even though they are really comfy I now hate them all except the flip flop ones & can't imagine why I thought lots of different colours would make it ok to wear them every day. I am probably responsible if crocs have gone bust since I bought most of them in the sale.

I had sneaking suspicion it was no longer acceptable to wear crocs. This thread officially confirms it.

Here (Tokyo) they've definitely not gone bankrupt as I passed the Crocs Shop the other day and it was heaving with customers...
Wearers here also seem 90% of the time to sport socks with them, which is beyond offensive imo....
Finally, I saw an unsuspecting fool young lady on the subway recently in high heel croc shoes. Had to wash my eyes out with bleach when I got home...

Crocs are great, I have had a pair every year for the last three years, ds had them and dd at 18mo has a pair as her first shoes, they are wonderful for childrens feet and extremely healthy.

I recently went on hoilday with sil and bil and most of the time all 7 of us were sporting crocs.

I think you have to have a certain level of 'not giving a fuck what other people think of your footwear' to carry it off though, Jack Nicholson wears them, there's a man who couldn't give a toss.

Oh no stinkyfart and paranoidmother those Ginger crocs are hideous, they look like orthopaedic shoes, or something you'd have to wear if one leg was longer than the other. Even I with my 9 pairs of crocs think those are just wrong unless you have a foot problem.

Youse can all bugger off, as I adore my fake crocs and will not stop wearing them for anyone!
They are comfy and soft and non sweaty and the total bonus advantage of being able to get them on and off without bending, which is increasingly difficult with my large preggers belly.

No YANBU, my DH works in fashion and says Crocs are so last year if not the year before.

But then again he talks a load of old fashion wankery sometimes and I tend to ignore him.
