I remember about 5 years ago in Heat magazine there was a fashion article about Crocs, it pictured one of the Appleton sisters wearing red crocs, the article was enthusing about this oh so fashionable shoe.

What an astounding thought that crocs were at one point seen as fashionable.

Lol also at an Appleton sister being regarded as being fashion forward as well.

Thunderduck · 30/07/2009 12:50

Lelli Kellys are hideous.

MoonIsATiredSlayer · 30/07/2009 12:50

Oh my God thank you I thought it was just me that was resistant - the bloody things are EVERYWHERE.

LOL at jellybean feet!

My friends were anti crocs and then slowly slowly they were turned and now the whole family have them. The adults have the fur lined ones - wtf?!

I especially hate them on children. Not for danger or foot health, just because and that's enough!

Thunderduck · 30/07/2009 12:50

No. The poor dog has to look at them.

MoonIsATiredSlayer · 30/07/2009 12:51

Excellent dog walking shoe Badger

Molesworth · 30/07/2009 12:52

Life's too short to have sweaty, uncomfortable feet though, surely?

I should add that my entire family mock me for wearing them, referring to them as "crocs of shit"

cheekster · 30/07/2009 12:52

Are they allowed if your feet are so swollen from pre eclamsia that nothing else fits other than slipper?

Thunderduck · 30/07/2009 12:53

Yes but only if you put paper bags over them.

GetOrfMoiLand · 30/07/2009 12:54

Can I add Uggs to the list (imagines howls of outrage from ugg loving mumsnetters).

Just see people wearing them in the rain. And they always look so grubby and smelly.

Plu,s upwards of £130 quid for sheepskin slippers. It's a bloody scandal.

Thunderduck · 30/07/2009 12:55

Yes.Uggs are equally as horrid.

cheekster · 30/07/2009 12:55

Well the plus point being that you cant see your feet to see the horrible sight of them. I did buy black, can I be excused?

Thunderduck · 30/07/2009 12:56

Everyone else can see them though, hence the need for the paper bags.

poopscoop · 30/07/2009 12:56

uggs are vile, alongside all those coloured wellies.

A green or blue Hunter only is permissible.

Thunderduck · 30/07/2009 12:57

Yes,you get a free pass Cheekster, for the moment at least.

LadyOfWaffle · 30/07/2009 12:57

Someone at Church wears lime green ones with a matching.... lime green fleece

GetOrfMoiLand · 30/07/2009 12:58

DD requested a knitted (why? why?) pair of Uggs for christmas. Jones Bootnmakers were charging £160 for the bloody things

cheekster · 30/07/2009 12:58
Wink
bronze · 30/07/2009 13:01

I'm glad under 8s were in your list badgersarse.

My three wear them though I try to go for neutral colours
ds1 khaki, ds2 brown and dd dark purple. Not had accidents with them

Loathe them on adults though except nurse etc etc

poopscoop sorry mine are dark purple/burgundy (and shite/mud colour)

squeaver · 30/07/2009 13:04

Was it these guys?

TheChilliMooseISNOTFOREATING · 30/07/2009 13:06

We all have crocs, but don't wear them at the same time. In fact, DH and DS only use theirs in the garden and I'm the only one who wears them out.

BadgersArse · 30/07/2009 13:08
