I wouldn't mind but one is a cat and one is a kitten so the cat has no chance of what he is aiming for which means, I think (but try not to) that my spread will be soiled.

Yuk! I would be thinking about getting the older cat neutered if i were you. Think of all those unwanted kittens crawling around on your lovely bedspread when the girl kitten (I assume it's a girl?) becomes old enough to get pregnant. She might even choose to give birth on it

TBH, if you have an unneutered tom in the house it's really your own fault.

Female cats can have their first heat as early as 4 months old. Your 'kitten' will be having her own kittens in a couple of months - your tom is probably shagging her because she is on heat. Dust off your sense of responsibility and get them both neutered asap.

Your kitten may be in heat BTW. When I was a teenager my friend's cat managed to get pregnant at 4 months She was supposed to be getting spayed but they hadn't taken her yet.

It's cruel to leave a tom unneutered. They get into awful fights, and also prey on female cats (feline sex is painful and violent) and sire unwanted kittens. He will hurt your kitten and make her pregnant. Uneutered cats are more prone to disease.
Neutered toms tend to be cuddlier and less likely to stray.
