be playing sectarian songs in their garden, at full volume and singing along?

Now the loud music is bad enough, but I can tolerate that, it's a nice summer's evening after all, and they're having a barbecue.

I do however object to the subject matter however, songs that are intended to incite hatred as far as I'm concerned.

And this part is none of my business I know but they have young children with them, and are enouraging them to sing along too. Which I find rather sickening.

I suppose there's little I can do about it though.

could always use the hose to water the garden and dc could perhaps lose control and poke it over the fence?
Maybe?

Thunderduck · 11/07/2009 18:52

That's very tempting.

is the music system outside too?

kimanaaaaaaaaaaan · 11/07/2009 18:54

What particular songs are they playing?

raindroprhyme · 11/07/2009 18:55

you can phone the police, they would be very responsive.
might just be better to pop round and ask them to turn it down.

KIMItheThreadSlayer · 11/07/2009 18:56

Turn on your sprinklers and aim there way

Thunderduck · 11/07/2009 18:56

IRA songs at the moment, though we've had a mix of secatarian songs.

I'm tempted to call the police. These aren't the sort of neighbours one can reason with.

cornsilk · 11/07/2009 18:57

Where do you live?

Thunderduck · 11/07/2009 18:58

Near Glasgow.

OP posts:
cornsilk · 11/07/2009 18:59

Would the police give them a call for you do you think?

Thunderduck · 11/07/2009 19:00

I think so. I certainly hope so.

LynetteScavo · 11/07/2009 19:00

What songs? I'm not aware of such songs! [innocent]

Thunderduck · 11/07/2009 19:01

Be grateful for that Lynette.

Music system is outside too. I am tempted to accidentally on purpose give it a good soaking.

KIMItheThreadSlayer · 11/07/2009 19:22

Shall I fedex you over some gospel music?

Trillian · 11/07/2009 19:24

not

Thunderduck · 11/07/2009 19:24

LOL. I'm not convinced that'd be much of an improvement, but if it drives them away then please do.

OP posts:
Trillian · 11/07/2009 19:25

I could come round and sing.....

Thunderduck · 11/07/2009 19:26

Feel free. I'll try anything.

Wonderful.

I'm tired of this hot weather anyway. Perhaps I should go out and do a rain dance to help it along?

its been Grey here all day

MrsMattie · 11/07/2009 20:05

I grew up with Irish Republican music. I don't think playing it makes someone a 'scumbag' although I appreciate that it's pretty insensitive to blare it out loudly to all of your neighbours.
