be playing sectarian songs in their garden, at full volume and singing along?

Now the loud music is bad enough, but I can tolerate that, it's a nice summer's evening after all, and they're having a barbecue.

I do however object to the subject matter however, songs that are intended to incite hatred as far as I'm concerned.

And this part is none of my business I know but they have young children with them, and are enouraging them to sing along too. Which I find rather sickening.

I suppose there's little I can do about it though.

DD1 was asking me about the flags in nearby village yesterday. I realised I was making it sound rather attractive to a 7 year old when I was explaining the Orange Walk (music, bands ,marching about all dressed up). Actually contemplated taking her down about 6 this evening to let her see them all pissed, lying in their own fluids and hitting each other or local Celtic fans.

Any peace yet TD?

My dad was very active in Sinn Fein. I don't think he's a loon, to be honest, I think he has a point. I still play some of the tunes I heard as a kid for nostalgic reasons. I can understand why some people would find it offensive, so I wouldn't play it in the company of others.

I see your point, though.

YANBU Thunder, call the police. I hate that sort of thing and its all too prevalent in Glasgow.

You could then pop over here enjoy our neighbours daughter and her pals getting drunk in the garden until the 'wee sma' hoors' cos her Mum and Dad are away.

Well, at least they are not playing horrible sectarian stuff.

I am so hoping they have all gone to T in the Park for the weekend...

And I do think people who play it, or loyalist music are ignorant twits.

I grew up with it too, because my father is a pro IRA loon, supporter.

I always hated it though as a child, and I'm no more fond of it now than I was then.

I don't care if it's IRA music or orange walk music or anything inbetween, it's sectarian crap and I don't want to be subjected to it.

I grew up with Irish Republican music. I don't think playing it makes someone a 'scumbag' although I appreciate that it's pretty insensitive to blare it out loudly to all of your neighbours.

Wonderful.

I'm tired of this hot weather anyway. Perhaps I should go out and do a rain dance to help it along?

Music system is outside too. I am tempted to accidentally on purpose give it a good soaking.
