Well? Am I?

who are you asking about, random, Orm? Orm's not a real troll. She's started a tongue-in-cheek jokey thread that has been taken amiss by a couple of people.

random · 03/07/2009 23:42

Was a jokey troll ...sorry too much vodka

thumbwitch · 03/07/2009 23:44

sorry, sorry - i'm getting confused now too!
must be time for a glass of wine...

Rollergirl1 · 03/07/2009 23:46

thumbwitch: i really can't see it. Ho Hum. Am i still the evil death troll from hell? The judging on this site is fucking hilarious. Come on. You are intelligent people. Show it.

Qally · 03/07/2009 23:47

It's always time for a glass of wine. (Is it very wrong to express for ds and drink at the same time? Or is that one for AIBU?)

random · 03/07/2009 23:48

No its ok to express..wine helps em sleep

Rollergirl1 · 03/07/2009 23:56

Btw my DH works for News International and apparently their list of inspirational women is the person who started Mumsnet

thumbwitch · 03/07/2009 23:58

???
And?

random · 03/07/2009 23:59

Lol

Rollergirl1 · 04/07/2009 00:03

And apparently....

Oh i can't be bothered. Just waiting for you to realise that you're no better than me....

Qally · 04/07/2009 00:17

Might be a long wait, if you genuinely can't see the difference between poking fun at online arguments on the one hand (what AIBU is specifically for) and real life marital breakdown on the other.

Your attempt at wit misfired badly; MN admires sharp-tongued harpies, not heartless ones. Why not accept you screwed up/misread people's senses of humour, and either apologise and move on or namechange?

Rollergirl1 · 04/07/2009 00:26

I've done it already. It's time to get over with it. Have fun with the thread. xxxx

Qally · 04/07/2009 00:40

I honestly wouldn't have remembered that was you if you'd not brought it up again - I've a goldfish memory, admittedly, but... maybe that's the key? The moving on and not smarting over it/raising it?

screamingabdab · 04/07/2009 06:56

Right, can I just get this straight

OrmIrian posts an amusing tongue-in cheek post, and everyone including me, piles in with mock abuse

Rollergirl, previously, posts a mock-post in AIBU, about a sensitive subjsect, meaning it to be funny, but nobody else gets the joke, and piles in on her.

I don't know what happened in Rollergirl's thread (whether she owned up that it was a joke in the end, or not)

Rollergirl feels very upset about it, and bitter

She thinks that exactly the same thing is happening to OrmIrian, as happened to her

I that right ?

Please someone tell me if that is right ? Thanks

screamingabdab · 04/07/2009 06:58

Just to add, that I (and lots of others), took this (Orm's), thread to be a PARODY of a typical AIBU.

OK

nooka · 04/07/2009 07:17

No no you are quite wrong. Rollergirl is apparently upset that Orm's joke was immediately got whereas her "funny" thread was not seen that way.

This is apparently because all of MN is cruel and heartless. Pity really because I was enjoying the silliness of this thread.

nooka · 04/07/2009 07:22

And having checked out the other thread I have reduced that rollergirl is clearly off her trolley on the basic insight front. However nametakens "were you looking for Cunts-R-Us" post was very funny.

nooka · 04/07/2009 07:24

And the knitted willy warmer too

screamingabdab · 04/07/2009 07:40

Thanks noonka

thumbwitch · 04/07/2009 09:10

Gosh, was Rollergirl's thread meant to be funny? I guess I'm not the only one who didn't get that then!

I agree nooka - nametaken's comment won the "best post" award on that thread!

Rollergirl1 · 04/07/2009 10:02

Hmmm, re-reading this morning I can safely admit that a little too much wine was had. I was clearly spoiling for a fight.

Sooorry

Katisha · 04/07/2009 10:07

Drunken posting is one of the joys of mumsnet!

OrmIrian · 04/07/2009 10:17

rollergirl - I am glad I didn't see this last night or I'd have been drawn in to drunken post jousting! It really was a joke.

Thanks for standing up for my reputation every one else. I am moved

random I am not a troll. I don't have hairy feet or warts. Yet.

random · 04/07/2009 10:34

Was joking about the troll thing sorry

Katisha · 04/07/2009 10:35
