Guys I was 18 and thought I was the dogs cuz Id got my first years NCD, it was years ago and hands up everyone who thought they were gods gift at 18! So from an adult perspective yeah I was a prat but I wasn't exactly a responsible adult back then!
I was just making the point that police can be a little 'selective' at times!

pitiful backtracking hf

100mph anywhere outside of a motorway/dual carriageway is lunatic and you should have been prosecuted and banned. No excuse whatsoever.

If you've been caught by speed cameras 3 times you are obviously not paying attention.

Paying attention to what? Where the speed cameras are?

hf128219 · 20/06/2009 18:30

I have no need to backtrack!

A gf was tailgated by a complete knob on the motorway, she pulled over as soon as safe to do so. He then deliberately pulled in front of her and slammed on the brakes. She crashed. Fortunately no serious injuries, car a write off, motorway closed for 3 hours.

Heated - May I just ask whose fault that accident was deemed to be. My dh says that it is always the driver of the car behind who is at fault because they obviouly didn't leave a big enough gap

I think I read on here a while ago that a good way to deal with tailgaters is to turn your lights on so they see the red lights and think you are braking.

Heated · 20/06/2009 19:58

I just assumed the knobhead driver's fault and I'm sure she would have said if that wasn't the case. Insurers paid out without any trouble because there was a police incident report, witnesses able to give a partial number plate, but police couldn't trace him.

Heated · 20/06/2009 20:00

Sorry, I should have made clear that she didn't hit him, she hit the central reservation and spun. Fortunately the traffic behind were all able to stop in time.
