to have voted for the BNP today

and feel that I should keep it a secret (have name changed obviously) for fear of being lynched!!

It is a perfectly legal party that has been totally demonised in the media. I was even worried that I may be able to be traced from my ballot paper but I took the risk and voted for them because all the other parties are the bloody same and none of them have the guts to sort this country out. Suppose I'll never get to heaven now .

I really hope that this is a wind up to get everyone riled. If it is not then the OP needs help.

Lucia39 · 04/06/2009 16:38

AnonymousAnnie: What aspects of their policies do you find particulary appealing?
[I am likewise curious]

independiente · 04/06/2009 16:38

You can vote for whoever you like. I don't think you should keep it a secret for fear of being lynched (we don't really do that do we, though who knows maybe that'll be in the next BNP manifesto too...). I think you should keep it secret for fear of revealing an almost demented level of ignorance.

SarahL2 · 04/06/2009 16:38

Hope not Hate

tonysoprano · 04/06/2009 16:38

Look, OP hasn't responded. Clearly a wind-up. Let's kill the thread now.

Sullwah · 04/06/2009 16:39

So Annonymous Annie - looks like I won't be able to rely on you to hide me in your attic

moonmother · 04/06/2009 16:39

I have had 5 of this filth's leaflets through my door in the past 3 weeks.

My front door is in my living room, and after each 'delivery' I've gone out to find the nutter's that have put them through my door.

Each time I haven't seen anyone delivering them.

If I had I would have told them never to put this disgusting material through my door again.

Quite honestly if you've only voted for them because of the reason you stated then ..

you appall me.

If you've voted for them because you agree with their manifesto then at least have the gut's to stand up for what you believe in, but you still appall me .

beanieb · 04/06/2009 16:40

Sort it out in what way? Come on, you know you want to tell us!

bleh · 04/06/2009 16:40

YABVU

The BNP will sort this country out? How? By doing what? I know the three major parties a quite lame at the moment, but be reasonable.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 04/06/2009 16:41

Aren't you glad you live in a democracy ?

2shoes · 04/06/2009 16:41

stupid fuckwit of an op

forehead · 04/06/2009 16:41

Stop the thread .This is a wind up.

dancingmummy · 04/06/2009 16:43

Yes you fucking are being unreasonable.

YeahBut · 04/06/2009 16:43

Your vote, your decision.
My decision - to think you are, at best, misguided and misinformed.
Your OP has made me beyond belief.

onebatmother · 04/06/2009 16:45

iLoveTiffany - are you supporting the OP?

branflake81 · 04/06/2009 16:45

I think if you have a certain politial allegiance, enough to actually go to the polling station and vote, you should be open and proud about your political beliefs and not hide them.

The fact you have name changed and are seemingly ashamed suggests you are not. Surely that, in itself, should tell you you know it's a "bad" vote and YABU to vote for them.

Perhaps you don't consider yourself a rascist because you have never committed a racial attack or your best friend's mum's neighbour is black, but the fact is, a vote for the BNP is a racist vote.

Without getting too personal, supporters of the BNP are either out and out racists or (as I suspect in your case) very ignorant about the causes of economic and political problems and with very little historial knowledge upon which to base their believes.

I suggest before the next election you do a bit of background reading on the history of immigration in this country. It might surprise you.

reikizen · 04/06/2009 16:45

You are a bloody idiot if you did vote for them and a bloody idiot if this is a wind up. Arsehole.

cheshirekitty · 04/06/2009 16:45

If you like voting for ignorant racist homophobes then YANBU.

Hoping the op was a wind up. Surely people cannot be that stupid.

poopscoop · 04/06/2009 16:46

OP having a laugh. Posted once just to inflame. Not woreth the wear on your fingers to respond.

dollius · 04/06/2009 16:51

Women voting for the BNP is like turkeys voting for Christmas

daftpunk · 04/06/2009 16:56

you won't be the only one who voted for them....like you say, they are a legit party....not sure why you bothered starting this thread though?....you voted BNP and admitted it on mumsnet (under a namechange)....what are we supposed to be?..scared?

josie14 · 04/06/2009 16:56

Well, if you think it's your civil liberty to deny others their civil liberty then thats the party to vote for.

2shoes · 04/06/2009 16:57
tiredemma · 04/06/2009 16:58

Dollius- That should be a contender or quote of the week.
