LOL!

I am a prammie - although winding down from my addiction lol!

chocolatekitten · 21/05/2009 17:59

I used to be a buggy addict and a member of a support group for this kind of affliction and recognize at least two here .
I know who you are

I myself am cured now, honestly don't care a monkey about prams, but it was great when it lasted, loads of fun.

Any buggy on telly was always discussed ( who had what in Corrie etc ) Sad , I know , but you do need to be a prammie to understand...

And I had a chuckle thinking how busy the site must have been after last night Apprentice...

chocolatekitten · 21/05/2009 18:03

The used to was supposed to come up bold. I really am over it now , DS not baby any more anyway.

MamaG · 21/05/2009 18:26

I don't get it. But I suppose you either get it or you don't

yabu!

Stinkermink · 21/05/2009 18:32

It's the financial side of it that always stopped me, and the fact that I really can't be arsed buying another pram. But doesn't stop me checking out Kiddicare or Mothercare every now and again for new innovations!

That said we paid a lot for our first and only pushchair and have been very happy with it. My friend and I just had a convo yesterday discussing is it twattish to pronounce Jane properly or just go for a middle of the road Janey pronounciation instead so you don't look like a twat?

cornsilk · 21/05/2009 18:33

YANBU as I know it's definitely not me.

PrammyMammy · 21/05/2009 18:36

yabu. There's nothing wrong with it :P

oldspotraver · 21/05/2009 18:50

There is nothing wrong at all with having only three prams

InternationalFlight · 21/05/2009 18:54

is there a point to this?

ohdearwhatamess · 21/05/2009 19:06

Could be me, but I don't think I know you in RL.

I'm very at having 3 (one we got for ds1, double wen ds2 came along, tiny one to fit in dh's old car boot), and have no interest in pushchairs at all other than as a means of transporting children from A to B.

nevergoogledragonbutter · 21/05/2009 19:07

uh oh, it's me isn't it?

nickytwotimes · 21/05/2009 19:11

I was a pram hun when ds was a baby.
Budget only stretched to 2, but I covetted!

InternationalFlight · 21/05/2009 19:13

Why ? Is there something innately awful about having more than one pushchair?

Sorry but I find it a sort of artificially created snobbery. Why not have a pop at people with 27 pairs of shoes instead?

belgo · 21/05/2009 19:15

I'm intrigued, how do you pronounce jane?

nickytwotimes · 21/05/2009 19:15

IF, it's a light hearted piss take imo.
Like mocking men who are obsessed with cars.

InternationalFlight · 21/05/2009 19:17

Sorry Nicky, just feeling overly sensitive and not very humourous tonight. as you were..

InternationalFlight · 21/05/2009 19:17

Belgo - Hannay.

nickytwotimes · 21/05/2009 19:18
belgo · 21/05/2009 19:18

thank you, I've learnt something new today on mumsnet

belgo · 21/05/2009 19:19

and at least prams are far better for the environment then cars!

InternationalFlight · 21/05/2009 19:20

No I know why it upsets me - yes it's taking the piss, but against members here...each pram hun is one of our own. Yet it is used divisively and in some cases rather cruelly.

I feel a class thing in the air every time it's dragged out.

InternationalFlight · 21/05/2009 19:21

thanks nicky, x posts

you are right la Belgique!

nickytwotimes · 21/05/2009 19:23

I don't feel that about it IF and I am very sensitive about class issues.

Pram huns come from all backgrounds ime.

Sorry you feel unhappy about it.

MIAonline · 21/05/2009 19:24

Is that Jane = Hannay, in the same way that Bucket = Bouquet!
