to think Mumset is a whole lot better post-Mouldiegate?

Genuine observation here, not trying to stir anything. It just seems a lot less cliquey and bum-licky. My replies are recognised and appreciated. I hope newbies feel welcomed and that there isn't some barrier that you have to cross in order to become 'popular'.

Well?

it's like CAT, dg, but without the intercession of mnhq.

i really don't recall seeing many people saying msn now. psychomum a few times, maybe... never found it particularly unsettling. i keep missing all the 'this has been dones', the 'msn nows' the bereaved raids, the royalty huffs... all of it. i was just enjoying myself and finding it all a bit BIG.

where's the holiday, deeg?

AitchTwoOh · 22/05/2009 20:11

or email, yes, they could do that too rev. the addresses tend to be listed on most forums now.

OlympedeGouges · 22/05/2009 20:12

presumably mp you already gave the children chicken nuggets and sent them to bed

daftpunk · 22/05/2009 20:12

flash..i told you earlier....they left...no one forced them to go...and no one hates the moldies..you are making too much of this....

flashharriet · 22/05/2009 20:14

So they'd be welcomed back with a and a "nice to see you" would they?

I don't think so.

I hate bullying of any kind, whoever does it. That's my only axe to grind.

AitchTwoOh · 22/05/2009 20:15

good for you, flash. i agree.

daftpunk · 22/05/2009 20:17

i don't think they could come back now tbh..mn has changed...too many new people..

TrillianAstra · 22/05/2009 20:20

Why could they not come back? Anyone can join MN. It wouldn't be the same for them, but why should it be?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/05/2009 20:23
OrmIrian · 22/05/2009 20:26

It would be lovely if they came back. I miss some of the old faces. And I don't think there would be any sniping - the problem is that when any of the disappeared reappear it tends to be on threads like this where the Moldie stuff is already in full swing. So ripe for sniping really.

Of course it doesn't help when the return to slag off mn. As I beleive had happened in the past.....

daftpunk · 22/05/2009 20:26

TA;...of course they could come back...but i don't think they'd like it anymore.

Ronaldinhio · 22/05/2009 20:27

I wasn't here before moldiegate and therefore see no difference

I'd like the oldies back so that I could meet them as they sound like a laugh imo

therefore op yabu

Dumbledoresgirl · 22/05/2009 20:27

I don't think they need to come back per se. With the exception of maybe a minority, I believe they are already here. Some in their old names, and others in new names. I am glad to have them back. And if a few of them are no longer able to go back to their old "royalty" status, all the better imo.

It was the status and the cliquiness and the superiority over us mere mortals that stuck in my craw. I am perfectly happy to see old friends again.

daftpunk · 22/05/2009 20:28

i miss some of them....what was her name..sheikyerbouti??...she was funny.

AitchTwoOh · 22/05/2009 20:29

bloody hell ronaldinho, have you only been here a few months? are you sure?!

clam · 22/05/2009 20:36

Oh fgs, who the hell are we talking about? I can't get myself worked up about some club I haven't been invited to join unless I know who it is who hasn't invited me to join it.
Who should I be missing? Who should I strike off my virtual Christmas card list?

QS · 22/05/2009 20:38

I have been here all along. Usually steering away from these kinds of threads. Posting a lot less than before, starting fewer threads. I was never royalty, never thought I was, no illusions of grandeur here. But there is sniping. Not by all, but by some. I dont really care to be honest. It was the same before, bitches will always find a reason to bitch, now it is just about moldies. Before it was just "fuck off". Now there is "fuck off to moldies". Same difference to me!

I enjoy mumsnet, though. And I wont let one or two bad apples ruin the pie, so to speak. I still think I can support, and be supported.

clam · 22/05/2009 20:38

Oh and have just realised this thread is nearly full. So I'm not going to get my answer.

Kimi · 22/05/2009 20:38

I think some of the ones who left are back.

I have told 3 people I know about mumsnet this week, if new people did not come all the time it would get old pretty soon.
Room for everyone

NiceShoes · 22/05/2009 20:39

no one important, just some big heads who thought they were something.they weren't

AitchTwoOh · 22/05/2009 20:41

lol, this IS like being back at school.

AitchTwoOh · 22/05/2009 20:42

where oh where has the OP gone?

ladies, we've been shit-stirred.

BitOfFun · 22/05/2009 20:42

Well I don't have a problem with mouldies- and a had a great inane chat on this thread this morning, so I think that dumb or no, we can pretty much get along fine

daftpunk · 22/05/2009 20:43

very true QS;..i think there's less swearing now tbh..
