Genuine observation here, not trying to stir anything. It just seems a lot less cliquey and bum-licky. My replies are recognised and appreciated. I hope newbies feel welcomed and that there isn't some barrier that you have to cross in order to become 'popular'.

Well?

[Finally wakes up and saunters back to mn]

I didn't realise what had happened, but do miss the lack of 'what are you wearing/eating threads?'

I realise I used to always miss the arguments good threads, but I did have a good laugh.

I am sure I shall continue to do so if I can ever find time to make a come back.

Rhubarb · 21/05/2009 17:52

Oh right, sorry Canute that wasn't solely directed at you, there were others before you who were also going on about how crap Mumsnet is now.

I just think that if you really don't like it anymore, take a sabbatical. If you still think it sucks when you come back then dereg. But to come onto threads and say it's crap is a bit rude imo.

Go on then, what's your reg number? Let's see who's been on the longest!

BoysAreLikeDogs · 21/05/2009 17:52

Can I just say that it must have been a really shit week at MNHQ what with being under attack/server probs/S t e i n e r threads and now this thread which really serves no purpose other than to stir up everyone again

I feel a bit sorry for Justine et al atm

That's all

FairLadyRantALot · 21/05/2009 17:53

Hmmm...you see, I don't think it is really different at all...but than, I have the observation skills of a blind bat....

Rhubarb · 21/05/2009 17:54

DuckIsland - Mumsnet no longer delete because of norty words. Unless knitting is a codeword for summat else.

Besides, I hardly ever fucking swear! Snot fair!

(I've said cunting and twattish on the BNP thread. But then apologise to all cunts and twats for comparing them to the BNP)

norty, norty

[wags finger]

I have been waiting for ages to be able to spell norty like that again.

FairLadyRantALot · 21/05/2009 17:56

wondering if "knitting" is code for something else....

KingCanuteIAm · 21/05/2009 17:56

I would but I am not on my original reg - I de-reged after a whole lot of trouble IRL then had to re-reg... I wonder if I would get my old reg number back if I persauded tech to give me my original account back? Just to be nosy like!

Anyway, I have been here 6 years in August, how about you? (note, this is just for nosy purposes, not one-up-man-ship)

Lulumama · 21/05/2009 17:57

yoooooooooohoooooooooooooo twit!

KingCanuteIAm · 21/05/2009 17:58

Sorry, that last post was to Rhubarb

popsycal · 21/05/2009 17:58

mixed feelings

Rhubarb · 21/05/2009 17:58

Hmm, well dd is now 8 and I joined when she was about 1. So longer than I should be!

But I have taken the odd sabbatical!

springlamb · 21/05/2009 17:58

I hope I am not talking in some 'code' and not realising it. I'm not that sort of girl.
[Fastens top button of short, reties apron and sods off to do something about food for the masses]

Rhubarb · 21/05/2009 17:59

Agree, not for oneupmanship at all. In any way. Just nosy.

I WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KingCanuteIAm · 21/05/2009 18:00

Yes, that makes sense, I thought you were one of the members who was here the day I arrived

Rhubarb · 21/05/2009 18:01

Yes I'm so 'sewing' today, but I was 'knitting' yesterday.

Twitmonster · 21/05/2009 18:03

[waves at lulu]

is there still a cafe/bar round these parts?

FAQinglovely · 21/05/2009 18:03

"the old mums have moved on and it's time for the new ones. "

ooops - come on Rhubarb and co - we'd better be off

Rhubarb · 21/05/2009 18:05

Who're you calling an 'old mum'? Huh!

KingCanuteIAm · 21/05/2009 18:07

I never know if I count as an old mum or not - I have namechanged so much I am a perma newbie but have been here for sooo long I am ready for a bus pass (well it feels like that sometimes anyway )
