Is this just ridiculous or is it me? Would people really pay for such a thing, and how could someone have said it's actually GOOD for an animal???

here's the link

Orm That was the thing I had most issue with too...

Is it just me or does one not conjure this image when thinking 'I'll just take the dog for a walk'

I despair sometimes

GrimmaTheNome · 28/04/2009 15:48

Eh? Dogs have legs. Four of them. They love to walk.

I suppose a carrier might be useful in town if little pooch was in danger of being trodden on (better than a handbag anyway) but the photos all look like the owners are out hiking ... if you want to go hiking with a dog, get one that can manage it. Sensible dogs like (thinking of what I've seen atop mountains) - Mini poodles. Dachshunds. Jack russels and every other type of terrier.

I did see a little doggie in a pushchair at the weekend, but that was because he was old and couldn't walk far but didn't like being left at home. I don't think he'd have taken kindly to being stuffed in a bag.

stupidest thing i ever seen

FfreckleFface · 28/04/2009 15:49

Awesome. I've got two rottweilers...do you think this is suitable?

EverySingleStar · 28/04/2009 15:51

LOL Ffreckle, I snorted chuckled loudly there.

Oh no...

FfreckleFface · 28/04/2009 15:52

I'd need a back one and a front one, obviously. (Picture of the dogs on my profile, in case anyone is having trouble visualising this.)

EverySingleStar · 28/04/2009 15:55

Ffreckle I can't find your dogs...lovely baby though!

OP posts:
GrimmaTheNome · 28/04/2009 15:57

FFreckle, wouldn't it be more sensible to kit the paor of rotties up with a sedan chair for you?

GrimmaTheNome · 28/04/2009 15:59

But really - does anyone have a (non-geriatric) dog of any size at all that can't outwalk them? What is the range of a fit yorkie or chihauhua?

Flightattendant25 · 28/04/2009 16:04

Pinky there looks happy

FfreckleFface · 28/04/2009 16:05

I've considered rollerblades, or even a mummy-sized buggy board for the pushchair!

Thanks, ESS - they are camouflaged by the sofa, one either side of Bloke and the baby.

shivster1980 · 28/04/2009 16:06

WTF is that about???

GrimmaTheNome · 28/04/2009 16:08

rotties pretending to be velvet cushions

Nancy66 · 28/04/2009 16:08

At least the dog will be crapping in the sling and not on the pavement.

candystick · 28/04/2009 16:10

WTF!

Its like when I see people carrying pampered pooches or wheeling them about in baskets, shopping trollies and the like. I always want to scream " Its got legs you know! In fact I think you'll find it has four perfectly good ones!"

EverySingleStar · 28/04/2009 16:15

OMG Ffreckle How did I miss them? Missed your DH too... Can you tell I'm broody?

OP posts:
FfreckleFface · 28/04/2009 16:19

With the size of all three of them, they are very difficult to miss!

They make fab cushions, and also pretty good foot warmers.

The sling/bag are just pandering to people who want accessories, not pets.

MmeLindt · 28/04/2009 16:24

Well, I do admit to carrying my puppy when she was very young as she could not walk far and got awful cold. Either tucked up in my jacket or I just popped her (wrapped in a light blanket) in my handbag.

But even I would draw the line at those things.

FatFree · 28/04/2009 16:29

LOL at that poor dog in the pink carrier, . Looks like its saying "oh the shame!"
