to want to move to London - tomorrow?

Every time I go on to the BBC website to chec the weather it automatically shows me London - although I have set it on Glasgow many times Anyway the next 3 days are set are big yellow suns and here we have....heavy rain. Its always the same I log on and get excited to see the suns, then change it to Glasgow and its rain. Is it really always sunny in London?! If so who can I come and live with?

yeah but it stinks like rat shit and the horse-faced queen lives there. I'd stick with Glasgow for that reason alone.

it is lovely at the moment
walking home from school today was just like summer all the mums in dresses and nice summery outfits and the kids in their shorts.............

my bit of sw london doesn't smell at all you cheeky mares
all the cherry blossom is out along the street and it is all fragrant

It rained yesterday Thunder, today was nice we had a picnic, but did rain a bit in PM. Tomorrow is heavy rain, I just want to take the children to the park and feed the ducks and play all day in the beautiful sun.

No rain here...looks smug. I'm just outside of Glasgow. Actually I know it hasn't been long, but I do want some rain. The hot weather doesn't agree with me.

I dont mind hot, would settle for dry. I just want to be outside, I get cabin fever.

I actually want rain.

I have this theory that if the seasons behave themselves and behave to type, then we've more chance of a better summer. And that's what I'm after.

Nah, it's not much cop down here. So it was sunny today - just made the long, packed journey home on the tube (Victoria Line on strike today; all other lines packed) hotter and more hellish than ever.

YANBU. I hate the crappy rain here too, and to top it off I get to go shopping in the rain tomorrow in the fun, exciting, cosmopolitan town that is......Dumbarton

Riven: I don't know what you consider fantastic and cheap, but at (can be) £4 for a single journey, it is not that brilliant. And many of the tube lines are down every weekend. And they're packed at rush hour (more like rush 4-hours). And the buses are packed and driven by maniacs.

Though I do love living here, especially when it is gloriously sunny and people get less grumpy and manic.

And it doesn't smell bad!

London's got plenty of hills! Muswell Hill, Primrose Hill, Herne Hill, Dollis Hill, Winchmore Hill... see, loads of the buggers!

If you stand at the Marble Arch end when Oxford Street is quiet and look towards the East, there is a DEFINITE slope.

See: another hill. (though I don't think it has a name).

Failing that, you can just walk up and down stairs in buildings, which is kind of like going up and down hills.

Greenwich has a hill. Last time I went there it smelt ok

I live in Edinburgh and love it, but admit that I envy Londoners two things:

The weather - it's always sunnier down there. It's routine to eat your lunch at an outdoor table in like, November. My friend who lives down there says she often sleeps in her garden in the summer!! Mind you, my gran lives in Aberdeen and it's always colder up there than it is here so it's all relative.

The international transport connections - I hate flying and I'd get the eurostar an all my trips if I lived down there. Not to mention cutting out the connection on a transatlantic flight etc.

I couldn't live in London as I just couldn't afford the same quality of life as I could here, but they are lucky sods in many ways.
