...we come from different countires, butwe get on really well most of the time but when she comes round (about 12 times a year) she insists that I go to my room when she arrives and spend the evening and night there. She insists that my dp locks the door and doesn't let me out while she's there. And the rest of the family backs her up. I think dp should be on my side, don't you?

HecatesTwopenceworth · 22/04/2009 17:32

TheProvincialLady · 22/04/2009 17:35

????

AnyFucker · 22/04/2009 17:35

if I hadn't seen your name before, I would think this was a wind-up

Habbibu · 22/04/2009 17:37

Is this a book? Your MIL comes round once a month?

ElinorDashwood · 22/04/2009 17:40

Elucidate. Elaborate. Enlighten us.

wannaBe · 22/04/2009 17:42

no way this is for real. Regular poster or not.

FrankMustard · 22/04/2009 17:44

MIL visiting each month yet lives in a different country - must spend the rest of the time on a plane....she's not going to fly to a different country for just a quick weekend...unless one lives in Bristol, England and the other in Newport, Wales maybe.....sounds dubious in the extreme....

seeker · 22/04/2009 17:46

She just keeps saying it's safer that way. I think it's really unfair.

greatwhiteshark · 22/04/2009 17:47

What are you talking about?

FrankMustard · 22/04/2009 17:47

Are you male or female?

CarGirl · 22/04/2009 17:48

she's a werewolf, vampire????

PoorLittleEgg · 22/04/2009 17:49

is it a vampire thing or something, definitely a book

MrsMattie · 22/04/2009 17:49

Sounds just like my MIL

She really does come for ridiculous periods, though! Although if she tried to lock me in my room I would just have to bitchslap her put her in her place.

YANBU..or something...

triptrap!

wannaBe · 22/04/2009 17:49

trolling doesn't work unless you namechange.

And even then I give it 0 out of 10 for effort.

craftynclothy · 22/04/2009 17:56

God I wish my MIL insisted on me staying in my room while she visited

FrankMustard · 22/04/2009 17:58

I might suggest that my MIL stays in her room when she comes to visit us next time! Turn the tables!

GossipMonger · 22/04/2009 17:58

seeker??

what is this really about?

piscesmoon · 22/04/2009 18:01

I have learned from these threads that all mother's of DSs are dire!! You have to have DDs to be a 'nice' mother!!

pointydog · 22/04/2009 18:09

I give up, seeker - what are you on about?

Megglevache · 22/04/2009 19:08

Erm, seeker are you and I related.

This would be my MIL's wet dream

compo · 22/04/2009 19:10
