I have 2 grey hairs and I am 31. However I am blondish and am trying to justify them as really really blonde ones....

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/04/2009 21:16

oh i like that reasoning - they are blonde and not grey/white

cornsilk · 16/04/2009 21:17

You don't need to panic till you find grey pubes.

bumpybecky · 16/04/2009 21:17

YABVU to have found the first one at 35. I'm (just!) 36 and have loads despite pulling them out for years!

Not BU to be about it though.

I found my first grey eyebrow hair last month.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/04/2009 21:19

def NO grey pubes - though only have thin neatly waxed runway there

bumpybeacky - apparently if you pull them out, they grow back double and more coarse!!!

I am now 40 and have been grey for ages (although not sure when as I've dyed my hair forever). It is the worst part of ageing for me. If it weren't for the hair dye I'd be totally grey.

Deanna1977 · 16/04/2009 21:20

I had my first grey hair at 11...get over yourself!

Desiderata · 16/04/2009 21:22

Found my first one today, at 43.

steviesgirl · 16/04/2009 21:27

Just started getting a few grey hairs recently and I'm 29!

noonki · 16/04/2009 21:30

I found my first one last week (I'm 34) and was actually a little bit chuffed.

It's a sign of wisdom don't you know

getting old is a good thing!

Doodle2U · 16/04/2009 21:31

Grey pubes.....nothing like those little fellas to totally wreck your day.

My DS had a grey hair - he's 7

mawbroon · 16/04/2009 21:44

Found my first aged 9.

My dad's side of the family were all snow white around age 30.

My mum's side were very dark. My grandmother was still grey, rather than white, when she died aged 93.

I was expecting to be really grey, but am just a bit salt and pepper now, aged 37.

mychildrenarebarmy · 16/04/2009 21:48

I'm 31 and have quite a few grey hairs, have had for a few years, probably about 26 when I noticed the first. ROFL'd when reading the other week that Jennifer Aniston said she'd found her first and cried. Not as in ha ha you've got grey hairs but she really expected us to believe she had just started to get grey hairs!

cornsilk · 16/04/2009 21:52

Desiderata - is that grey hairs or pubes?

YanknCock · 16/04/2009 21:56

28 for my first.

Now nearly 33 and I think I have about 4 or 5. Haven't coloured in about 4-5 months, but I always do it so close to my natural colour that I don't get roots. This makes the greys look like they are about 2 inches long!

sigh.....probably time to get the l'oreal out again.

tye · 16/04/2009 22:00

i was 16 when i got mine im now 22 and have lots does not help having dark hair there very noticable. lol

Niecie · 16/04/2009 22:06

I found my first one last year at 41 - I am mousy but have always had some blonde hair in the the mix but this was different.

I pulled it out and pretended it had never existed but it has been joined by several brothers and sisters. I kid myself that I am the only one who would know they were there but it is only a matter of time.

DH has had them since he was about 30, what's left of his hair!

Plenty of friends have had them since their early and mid 30's.

DS2 had one a couple of weeks ago and he is only 5.

too at grey pubes.

Doodle2U · 16/04/2009 22:22

Last time I went for a bikini wax, the therapist refused me, sayng badgers had a preservation order on them.

Desiderata · 16/04/2009 22:23

Ah no, corny. My pubes are still stridently black and long.

They currently appear on the FBI's MOST WANTED list

EachPeachPearMum · 16/04/2009 22:24

I started going grey at 19...
am 35 too OP... I just found my first grey leg hair... now that is fecking scary!

TrillianAstra · 16/04/2009 22:25

Last year, on my mum's birthday. I was 24. I told her to see if it would make her feel old. Apparently it does.

YABU - if you're 35 you should have started finding them loooong ago.

Desiderata · 16/04/2009 22:26

Probably a strand of cotton wool, dear ...

cornsilk · 16/04/2009 22:55

I'm strangely impressed by desiderata's pubes...

ChippingIn · 17/04/2009 01:10

Blondeshavemorefun - (who said, they grow back double and more coarse), my hairdresser says this is crap... will be interesting to see if any hairdressers come on here and agree/disagree.... also, be thankful you are (even with a bit of help) blonde, my hair is really dark and the few I have (gaining friends daily now!! URGH) stand out like sore thumbs, but I don't want to start dying it yet... (actually like my natural colour and can't be arsed with all the messing around!! [lazy emoticon])

Salme101 · 17/04/2009 01:10

First noticed them at 27. I now have increasing visible patches of white hair at age 33. Have decided to be dignified and leave it alone
