this is bonkers and should be forced to donate all their disposable income to charity as they clearly can't be trusted to spend it on proper stuff?

TBH it is the sort of useless crap that I would have bought with DS1.

Don't think I bothered with purees with DS2. Not because I was BLW but because I couldn't be arsed.

but you could buy all the component parts for about a tenner! Not to mention that blending is a massive waste of time...fork mashing is easier by far!

I think YABU.

It isn't that dissimlar price wise from my 'adult' blender kit except that it contains extra accessories which would be useful for making baby food (ie the little pots, and spatulae).

I think if you didn't already have a blender it might not be that bad a buy. A basic blender in the supermarket is about 10-15quid but to get a mini chopper thing (which I use a lot) is about 30 quid.

YABU. I don't see the problem. I thought the item you were going to show us was something like a box of chocolates or wine. I can think of far worse things to actually waste money on.

I don't own a blender and wouldn't have the faintest clue how much they cost (ditto weaning pots, spoons, etc) So if I was looking for one, that might look like quite a good deal.

I think its absolutely genius - take a kitchen product - put the word baby on the box and hey presto a 'must' for all pfb parents. Scrappy goes to her kitchen to turn on her 'baby bread crisper' or a 'toaster'
Actually I suppose some people might not have thought of using a normal blender so this is ideal for them as long as they didn't stop using it when their babies are passed pureeing...

I can't see anything wrong with it actually, but then not to BLW is some kind of heresy here I am aware. You can't mash a carrot, not very effectively anyway. It needs blending. If you don't already own a blender, that's not a bad price.

Thanks for the link to the handheld vacuum as well, I need one of those.

I have the blender (NOT a PFB Mum BTW, But a CM) and I use it everyday, not just for baby food, but soups, and sauces as well as using the whisk bit for shakes and such, what is bonkers about it?

yabu. bog standard blender is probably a tenner and the chopping attachments aren't cheap to get separately (a braun one is just under 20 pounds). so 40 quid for those two plus bits and pieces isn't too bad.

the blender is bit expensive for what it is..

my braun one came with all the same attatchments for a tenner but thats the kind of world we are living in ..

package it different, give a sligtly different name ande charge more for it..

The wipe warmer made me laugh out loud.. the ultimate pampered baby

It looks like it might be useful for making Daquaris and blended Margaritas in the summer. You can use the little pots to store the salt and lemons...

I hate to say but the dustbuster thing has been just about the most useful thing I've ever bought, but we did just buy a normal one, not a special baby one. I think I'd have died if I'd have to lug the hoover about every time ds left a trail of crumbs around the house.
