this is bonkers and should be forced to donate all their disposable income to charity as they clearly can't be trusted to spend it on proper stuff?

I bought one of those stick blenders when dc started eating food and over the years we've used it to death. It's on its last legs now. But 40quid is a bit steep. They're much cheaper than that!

I paid about £30 back in 2002 for a blender with chopper etc attachments that was much smaller than that one so yabu, it's not a bad deal.

duchesse - that's far worse! It's just a plastic bowl and a stick. The blender is more expensive but at least it actually does something.
