Adults Pissing in Public - communal showers - would you?

I went to our local "Aqua Land" the other day, with our two sons.

When we were done, I took my youngest with me to the showers, and dh our oldest son.

Even my 3 year old would make a mad dash from the pool to the toilet rather than do it in the pool, and through the sshowers to wee before showering.

As I was showering, I noticed orange stained water under the woman showering next to me. First I did not realize what it was, I thought to myself "oh my, her fake tan is coming off", before realization dawned:
Here we have an adult PISSING next to me in the showers. She started chatting to her dd who was showering opposite me, who could be maybe 13, when she also started urinating. And lo and behold, her dds friend let rip to! It was literally a piss fest!I could not believe my own eyes, and quickly finnished showering ds and went to get dressed.

Just then the cleaning lady came, so I wonder if they have some urin alerts or cameras into the showers.

I was shocked and appaled, I really did not think people would wee in open communal shower areas, but I am obviously outdated or a prude, as in this, my first trip to the pool, in years, I see no less than 3 people weeing in one go.

It is disgusting. Isnt it???

hmmm.......if it is wee, then that is really disgusting.

but orange wee???

they would be seriously dehydrated to have orange wee!

I think it more likely, if all three are together, that they have all tried bad fake tan.

mind you, thinking about it, the fake tan should have therefore come off in the pool.....

ewww.........must be wee.....

It must have been wee, she looked down at one point, and started "stirring" it with her foot, possibly to "dilute" with the water from the shower. It was sort of "michelob" coloured....

not gonna have that in a while.

I reckon mum did it, so dd thought, oh well if mum can then I can, and the friend also thought it must be acceptable then.

that is weird, were they naked? i will admitt to weeing in the shower once when in a fairly digusting hostel where the loos were a hole in the ground filled with shite adn maggots. i shamefacedly confessed to my 2 traveling companions and they had all done the same.

One's own shower is one's castle (or something). And one can wee in it if one wants .

But doing it in a public shower is revolting, unless there are exceptional circumstances, as described by ProzacNation.

No the adult was not entirely naked, her swimsuit was rolled down, so she weed through it. The teenagers were naked.

I dont wee in the shower at home, I can not for the life of me imagine why somebody would do it in the company of other women and children.

I'm afraid i have been in this situation and have commented loudly to who ever i was with, sort of saying

'DS do watch where your standing as SOME LAZY PERSON HAS DONE A WEE IN THAT SHOWER............'

Cue a very embarrased couple of people......

Disgusting. Just disgusting. And if you do it at home, sorry, that's disgusting too and I hope you clean out your shower very well or warn any unfortunate guests or other family members.

Have people just lost their sense where hygiene is concerned? Have they forgotten the completely gross diseases that used to cause public outbreaks because there weren't proper sewerage systems?
