Banner across the top of the cover:

"A nation mourns the loss of its brightest star"

How dare they speak on my behalf?

I'm not mourning and she was certainly not our brightest star!

Who writes this drivel? And who believes it?

the trouble is you can't say anything about the subjest without people saying you are on one side or the other.

seeker · 28/03/2009 23:12

The other trouble is that people refuse to take it as read that everyone in the world thinks it's tragic for two little boys to lose their mum, and for someone to die so long before their time. Of course these things are sad beyond measure, and anyone even remotely human would weep for the little motherless boys.

But this does not make it unacceptable to talk about the media involvement in Jade's life, her choices, her behaviour on Big Brother, what made her famous and whether or not she is a suitable role model for girls.

You're right Seeker. My only gripe was with the person who suggested that Jade Goody's obvious advansed cancer may be a hoax.

Actually, I have always been ambivalent about Jade Goody but I have to say, on reflection, that anyone who had a totally shit upbringing, can acknowledge that and then decide that they want something better for their own children (and do something concrete to make sure that actually happens) deserves some sort of credit.

KimiWantsAnEasterEgg · 29/03/2009 14:30

I see todays tabloids are saying her mother and husband are rowing over the funeral as her mother wants to change things and he wants it kept as Jade wanted.

If she has set out what she wants she should have it, not have her mother or anyone else change things...I would be really pissed off if anyone changed the plans for my funeral

whispywhisp · 29/03/2009 18:58

There should be absolutely no argument over the funeral. It should happen EXACTLY as Jade wished.

ahfeckit · 29/03/2009 19:00

I don't read such drivel anyway, so no skin off my nose...they're making no cash out of me..

Fimbo · 29/03/2009 21:18

Ah Gunner I stand corrected. And who the feck am I - well a Fimble of course
