Cause I wouldn't say no, and he's not really my type!

To be fair, I would sigh and look disappointed too!

I like the jaded look, the world weariness, it has a sort of 'je ne sais quoi' about it.

screamingabdab · 18/03/2009 16:50

Aaah, but you haven't MET my DH, you so would

Rhubarb · 18/03/2009 16:51

I could be the OW couldn't I? I could start a thread all about it on Mumsnet and be really smug and unrepentent, saying things like 'if she didn't want him to stray she'd have cared for him more' and 'she's let herself go downhill'.

I'm sure Mumsnet will be very understanding!

Rhubarb · 18/03/2009 16:51

screaming - how much?

OP posts:
screamingabdab · 18/03/2009 16:53

A box set of series 4 of House, and..... ooh, that's got me thinking about Hugh Laurie (MMMmmmm )

Rhubarb · 18/03/2009 16:54

If your dh looks 'owt like Hugh Laurie then forget it!

Richard Herring is far from sexy btw.

MorrisZapp · 18/03/2009 16:56

Rhubarb, by all means shag a jaded guy. It is great.

But don't come running to me three years later when he looks all pained whenever anybody nearby laughs or visibly enjoys themselves, or when he scowls at your friends, or moans that you don't want to sit through some tedious 'noir thriller' that you can't understand etc etc.

I'm as culturally snobby as the next woman but there is a limit. Life is for living, not for trying to pass some kind of exam in what it is and isn't acceptable to like.

screamingabdab · 18/03/2009 16:56

No he doesn't, and that's what makes it slightly perplexing....

Gak @ richard herring

Rhubarb · 18/03/2009 16:57

I'm only wanting to shag him - not marry him!

OP posts:
screamingabdab · 18/03/2009 16:58

MorrisZapp I hear you. I couldn't bear to be with someone who would roll their eyes at me watching "Dancing on Ice"

Rhubarb · 18/03/2009 16:59

'Dancing on Ice'? It gets worse!

I think me and Stew are made for each other!

Email me sweetie and I'll give you my number!

OP posts:
MorrisZapp · 18/03/2009 17:00

I bet he'd roll his eyes at 'sweetie' and deliver a long lecture on American cultural imperialism

screamingabdab · 18/03/2009 17:03

Rhubarb I'm not saying he watches DOI

No, he watches manly things like Scrapheap Challenge and Time Team

Rhubarb · 18/03/2009 17:05

So long as he's shagging me whilst he's at it I don't care!

OP posts:
Rhubarb · 18/03/2009 17:05

Sorry, not your dh screaming! Blimey, I haven't even seen the bloke!

OP posts:
MorrisZapp · 18/03/2009 17:07

Richard Herring once eyed me up at the Edinburgh Fringe.

In all honesty I'd probably shag either/ both of them.

Rhubarb · 18/03/2009 17:09

Would you shag screaming's dh though?

OP posts:
screamingabdab · 18/03/2009 17:18

Morris He eyed you up the Edinburgh Fringe?
Is that Cockney Rhyming Slang?

Rhubarb · 18/03/2009 17:18

Lee can eye up my fringe any day he wants!

OP posts:
MorrisZapp · 18/03/2009 17:22

Eek! No, he didn't eye up my (rhymes with fringe) but who knows what was on his nasty little mind

Queenoftheharpies · 18/03/2009 18:11

My mate has had a huge crush on SL forever, but even she's starting to admit that time hasn't been kind to him.

For any stalkers in the north london area, He can be seen regularly around stoke newington but you'll have to form an orderly stalking queue behind my friend :-)

screamingabdab · 18/03/2009 18:34

Queenoftheharpies. That's where i saw him !! Outside the Three Crowns (he sort of looked like he belonged there, if you know what I mean)

screamingabdab · 18/03/2009 18:38

Rhubarb DH has just come in wearing cycling leggings. Even I don't want to do him in these circumstances

FlorenceAndtheWashingMachine · 18/03/2009 18:42

YANBU. Funny, intelligent - what's not to like? I fancy Richard Herring too. Jim Davidson is where I draw the mark in the 'funny man' sand.

screamingabdab · 18/03/2009 18:46

Florence i refer you to my earlier point. In real life - shambolic

I've got a crush on that Noel Fielding from the Mighty Boosh, ooh and Simon Amstell (I know, I know)
