Maybe I'm being a grump but I find it a bit confrontational. I'm confused as to what they mean too. They posted it through my door today, I haven't even seen them yet (they have moved in four doors up).

Hiya Neighbour

On 24th of March our building work will be over and we will be good to go. If you could drop round with housewarmers between 3pm and 7pm we would be happy to offer a glass of wine.

Kind Regards

I couldn't stop laughing when I read all this nonsense. Why not just have gone round and asked them what they meant!!!! You could have introduced yourself, you know been friendly. Then that would have saved you alot of time on the internet and you could have done something more constructive instead.

I am so glad I dont live in London where a friendly invitation from a new neighbour is deconstructed like this.

biscotte · 02/05/2009 17:32

i think it's just a funny pop in between 3 and 7 and share a glass of wine with us. Do their names give any indication that English may not be their first language because it sounds a bit Euroenglish.

Oh God.

ROFL

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 02/05/2009 18:06

Maybe they're Australian, or even Kiwis?

TrillianAstra · 02/05/2009 18:09

So did you go? Have you met them? Are they Kiwis?
