signs plastered at the back of a car, is Chavy Chav Chav?

No harm in doing it in case it does though.

I have found that whenever i have had P plates OR 'baby on board' stickers up people have been very patient with me.

Eve4Walle · 11/02/2009 18:38

I used to have one when DS was a bit younger.

To be honest, I don't care what anyone else thinks, my DH hates it too and says they are sad but it's my car, I paid for it, I tax it, insure it etc and so I'll do whatever I like with it's interior/exterior decoration. I'm looking into getting some burberry car seat covers too...

StealthPolarBear · 11/02/2009 18:39

Fa it doesn't help. I have a baby on board thing in the back of my car and I still get idiots driving right up behind me. It really drives me mad after a white van went into the back of me when DS was 5 weeks old

curlygal · 11/02/2009 18:46

I saw a "beaver on board" sign in a car today - nice

Flightattendant12 · 11/02/2009 18:58

Stealth that's terrible.

Fwiw P plates aren't that helpful either. I got hooted at a lot with mine on - bearing in mind I was a crap driver, as well...

Frasersmum123 · 11/02/2009 18:59

I have a Mr Men 'Small Person' on board sign in my car.

MissSnotBag · 11/02/2009 19:04

Actually the Princeass onboard makes me think
'Smug Parent Onboard"

For some reason 'Baby Onboard' doesn't irritate me.

OP posts:
Flightattendant12 · 11/02/2009 19:04

That's the one I bought Frasersmum! Only trouble is we ended up getting the only car they had in the dealership that would be ready when we needed it - and it had darkened back windows

Eve4Walle · 11/02/2009 19:06

I have every reason to be smug MissSnot, I have a real life little Princess living with me, who of course happens to be beautiful, funny and kind.

MrsSeanBean · 11/02/2009 19:29

I wish someone would invent a pop up neon sign which said 'I AM LOST. DS is screaming. Be patient or I will get out and brain you.'

MissSnotBag · 11/02/2009 19:39

"Sleep Deprived Parent Onboard BEWARE"

diedandgonetodevon · 11/02/2009 19:45

oneyummymummy · 11/02/2009 19:46

I dont think they are chavvy.....yes I DO have one in my car (well used to..its in my kitchen waiting to go in new car atm)

I LOVE it! I DO have a princess on board and I DO want you all to know it!

It doesn't bother me to see these signs TBH...

tiredsville · 11/02/2009 19:52

YANBU they are Yucky Yucky Yuck Yuck.

But we don't want to know about it yummymummy.

noonki · 11/02/2009 20:04

as much as I hate the word I chav I equally hate those stickers 'cheeky monkey' is not quite a puke inducing but almost.

closetotheflame · 11/02/2009 20:09

i dont think they're chavvy..they're just wank

Pennies · 11/02/2009 20:11

I once saw a girl get into what looked very much like her car (pink fluff on steering wheel etc etc) and she had a sign in her rear window saying "Minger on Board". WTF??

Eve4Walle · 11/02/2009 20:12

Maybe she was referring to her boyfriend Pennies?

abraid · 11/02/2009 20:12

My favourite one is: 'Grandchild on board'.

Bleuch!

Eve4Walle · 11/02/2009 20:14

Ha ha, my Mum has a 'Gtandchildren on Board' sign. She loves it.

SesHopesSpringwillbeheresoon · 11/02/2009 20:17

Sorry, not read the whole thread but these signs really annoy me!! I always thought I was the only one that was bugged by them!

Why should such a sign make me drive any better? It might just distract me through my annoyance

I've always kept quiet before and told myself that I was in the minority! Maybe I am...

HecateQueenOfGhosts · 11/02/2009 20:19

I don't like them, which is why I haven't got one.

I don't care what other people have in their cars.

abraid · 11/02/2009 20:29

It does make me want to tailgate people who have the signs. Or cut in front of them in traffic jams. I resist, though.

SoupDragon · 11/02/2009 20:32

You misread it, Pennies. It said "Minge on Board"

Caz10 · 11/02/2009 20:34

slightly OT but I saw a pram being pushed the other day, with a "number plate" hanging from it with the baby's name on it!
