pmsl.

lizzy - i am joking!

As if it will make any difference to the emergency services. They will be searching for anyone in anycase surely

Flightattendant12 · 11/02/2009 17:45

'S ok Poop I know

YaddaYaddaYadda · 11/02/2009 17:49

And there was I thinking people had 'child on board' signs so other road users would know they were dealing with a sleep deprived driver possibly with a small person yelling at full volume in the back and steer well clear

MissSnotBag · 11/02/2009 17:50

No and I won't be spoken down to for using the word 'chav' so CHAV OFF!

Flightattendant12 · 11/02/2009 17:52

I saw one the other day that looked just like a Baby On Board sign but said "Husband In Boot". I admit that it amused me a lot! I also like the one that Pedlar's used to sell: "Baby I'm Bored". But I am a bear of very little brain and am easily amused.

psychomum5 · 11/02/2009 18:00

no ackchully, it is a sign that you love you children so much you need to tell the world that you have a babe, a princess, a prince, a little man, a little miss naughty, a scrummy baby, a mums taxi etc etc etc on board.

in all honesty, I worry about the ones who feel the need to have one per child, especially the family by me who have 12 children, and so, 12 signs................((plus the one each for dad and mum)). I worry about how well they can see TBH, and so keep a good distance back from them. they are easy to spot tho...........they have a mini bus and it is plastered on the outside too with stickers ((oh no, ART)) from the children!

THAT is worrying.................ONE princess badge is not even worthy or a blink now IME!

poopscoop · 11/02/2009 18:03

are you serious! 12 signs?? that is hilarious! I bet they cannot see out of the window with that lot.

Bet they pass them down the family. starting with baby on board moving up several children to the teennagers with little shite on board and then worse!

psychomum5 · 11/02/2009 18:06

I am serious. If I could get away with it without looking stalkerish I would take a pic, but I would probably get into trouble!

they do have princess and prince ones too

a couple of them are old-style ones so clearly are ones they got with the elder two!

ChavPrincess · 11/02/2009 18:07

Whats wrong with 'my little princes' signs on the back of cars?

I dont have a car because my bf burnt it out after getting chased by the filth, innit

so we stick ours next to us on the bus

squeaver · 11/02/2009 18:08

I don't think they're chavvy, just fucking stupid.

(that fucking was for you VT )

psychomum5 · 11/02/2009 18:09

@ "stick it next to us on the bus"

poopscoop · 11/02/2009 18:12

bloody brill - stick it next to us on the bus !!!!

Jenbot · 11/02/2009 18:18

I've made my own that says "Cute little darling lovely gorgeous sweetpie perfect first baby on board!!!!".
All the 'i's have hearts instead of dots.

myfunnynametaken · 11/02/2009 18:18

yeah, little princess signs are fucking chavvy

Jenbot · 11/02/2009 18:18

lol at the bus!

poopscoop · 11/02/2009 18:19

surprised nobody has spotted a princess sign on the side of a burberry pram.

ilovemydogandMrObama · 11/02/2009 18:22

Re; emergency services comment. I was under the impression that they hated those signs as after an accident there was no way of knowing who was/wasn't in the car at the time.

myfunnynametaken · 11/02/2009 18:25

I think our emergency services are professional enough to have a good look around the vehicle to make sure they haven't missed anyone out with a big sign being stuck to the car

and by the way, it's an urban myth that someone in America had a car crash and the toddler was thrown through the open window of the car and missed by the emergency services, dying of hypothermia a few days later. So someone made a "baby on board" sticker so it wouldn't happen again.

WilyFox · 11/02/2009 18:30

When i was driving i used to have a P plate on one side of the back window and a baby on board stick on the other.

Other drivers steered well clear

My mum uses a 'grandparent driving' sticker but takes it off when DS isnt in the car.

I think that 'baby on board' stickers are fine, it might just make that person who dangerously tries to overtake wait a second for it to be safe.

No harm in trying to make things safer IMO.

ilovemydogandMrObama · 11/02/2009 18:30

Fair enough. Hadn't heard that urban myth...

MrsSeanBean · 11/02/2009 18:31

i clicked on this thinking '....is chavvy?' Right right right.

poopscoop · 11/02/2009 18:31

i think if a person is a dangerous driver and wants to overtake, gthey wont change their mind because they have seen a baby on board sign on the car in front.
