I'm all thrown by it! I'm getting too lod for change! I like the Angels icon thing - that's lovely but there are no lines any where. I feel a little faint.

I find it really difficult to read, particularly the colours. Sorry, I know hard work went into it- but it's hard work reading it too, and that's for a longer period!

queenceleste · 30/01/2009 11:01

TheCrackFox Hello!

I have to run, have a hideous amount to do today!
Hope you're well
Am baffled by the topics page... but I will embrace it!

I still haven't recovered from the last change, it used to be really easy to scroll back to the beg of a long thread, I still haven't mastered that, don't know why, failed that IQ test!
but I'm addicted too.

those of you having BIIIIIIIG gaps - go to:

customise

new mumsnet

save

and that should be sorted out.

As for the other ishoooes... you're on yer own

quickdrawmcgraw · 30/01/2009 11:02

I like the 'new mumsnet' version. It's a little hard on the eyes because it's quite bright but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

mm22bys · 30/01/2009 11:03

YANBU.

There are some things that are annoying me

  1. Shorter thread titles
  2. Can't as easily distinguish what threads you've looked at.
  3. I am having trouble navigating to the topics I use most.

I respect that hard work, but why, especially since you can supposedly still have MN Classic?

queenceleste · 30/01/2009 11:04

please can I have a ticker what is a ticker?

OP posts:
fryalot · 30/01/2009 11:12

a ticker is a gaudy, bright, flashing, in yer face banner at the bottom of every post that says something like "three minutes since my angel did a poo" or "four weeks to go until we have seventeen children"

Which initially sounds like fun, but imagine if everyone had one.

Tis very hard on the eyes.

You do not want a ticker.

tiredsville · 30/01/2009 11:22

No Sqonk, we don't want to customise, we just want to sit here whinging about it all day. If we customise, what shall we then have to whinge about it?

fryalot · 30/01/2009 11:24

fair point, tiredsville, fair point.

whinge
whinge

whingey whinge whinge

that ok?

Roskva · 30/01/2009 11:32

YANBU
I've only been on here 1/2 hour and I'm getting a headache - I'm finding it really hard to read. Sorry, I hate it . Please can I have the old format back?

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/01/2009 11:34

is there a way to make threads you are on/read pink again?

or am i being blonde

littlelyn · 30/01/2009 11:37

The huge margins will soon be littered with annoying, flashing adverts no doubt.
Squonk - thanks for the tip!

fryalot · 30/01/2009 11:39
Grin
glitteryprincess · 30/01/2009 11:39

The text is too small and I'm getting a headache too.

saggyhairyarse · 30/01/2009 11:43

I like it, I prefer this message board format.

Sidge · 30/01/2009 11:54

I don't like it.

The individual posts are all squashed up and hard to read and I haven't found Active Convos yet.

And I have ginormous margins down each side.

Miggsie · 30/01/2009 11:56

Too much white space...it is disorientating

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 30/01/2009 11:59

I like some of it but would prefer everything I've already read to go pink any ideas??

mersmam · 30/01/2009 12:00

Change is scary to me... but I will like it when I get used to it

mummylin2495 · 30/01/2009 12:18

i dont like the way i have to scroll across the page to read the whole sentence. In fact i dont like any of it.

Katiekitty · 30/01/2009 12:18

I really don't like it - text is too tiny to see properly. Plus, the shorter thread titles - how are you supposed to know if it's a relevant thread you want to read?
I wish I could change it back but it won't let me. Woe is me

Stretch · 30/01/2009 12:19

I did have it on mumsnet sober, but now it's on the pale blue colour! How do I get it back, it won't let me do it!!

notcitrus · 30/01/2009 12:20

I browse with images turned off as flashing images give me vertigo and nausea.
So the 'click here for classic Mumsnet' was totally blank - no alt-text provided.

Turned them on temporarily to find the button to click on and now even when I hit refresh I still get images, and it won't go to the old format - only the text size changes when I click that button. None of the other customise changes get saved either. Is it because I use Firefox?

I could get used to the look, but what's really annoying me is that the 'show all' topic titles has to be clicked on every time, it won't remember it.

Time to browse elseweb before I throw up...

Jjou · 30/01/2009 12:21

YANBU! I've customised but am still getting a headache looking at it, no matter how I have it. Plus it's really bugging me that I can't have smaller windows (when I'm on it in work ) - the text used to all fit into whatever size window was there, now it all runs off the edge and I have to scroll across. A small but annoying detail!

Mooseheart · 30/01/2009 12:28

Waaaah! I feel as though I'm fumbling around in the dark! Where's the Active Messages page! Don't like, off for a lie down.
