I only like snow if I can stay inside and watch it!

Clarissimo · 19/01/2009 11:18

I'd love to collect boys and take them sledging

ComeWhineWithMe · 19/01/2009 11:19

SheSellsSeashellsByTheSeashore · 19/01/2009 11:20

I hate the snow. It's not snowing here yet but it's been forcast too. I am not happy.

YANBU at all.

MadameOvary · 19/01/2009 11:20

I am in Edinburgh.
I think DD would say IABU - She has just seen snow for the first time.

I'm in Edinburgh, it's falling think and fast, and sticking, for the first time this winter. I'm annoyed that DS is at nursery and I can't take him out in it myself!

snowleopard · 19/01/2009 11:21

thick and fast obviously

mysterymoniker · 19/01/2009 11:21

YAB overwhelmingly and unforgivably U

MadameOvary · 19/01/2009 11:22

Its the same every year, we get to January and somehow I think we've escaped cos "Spring" is just round the corner
Ah the triumph of hope over experience!

snowleopard · 19/01/2009 11:24

Actually, snow does suck but I only ever remember that after it's sat there for a few days. When it first falls I love it.

I lived in Toronto for a year once - gawd, by that spring I hated snow.

snowleopard · 19/01/2009 11:25

Whereabouts in Edinburgh are you madame?

QS · 19/01/2009 11:25

LOL, we went skiing on the weekend. Our 3 year old took to it like a duck to water.
My skiing boot was so old, it disintegrated, lol, but what FUN!!

sorry you are miserable.

I love winter, I love snow, I love how the ocean and the sky are so blue and the mountains so white. I love the peachy light on the horizon.

MadameOvary · 19/01/2009 11:25

Do you think this thread will divide MNetters into those ruddy-cheeked types that cant wait to get on their polar fleeces and waterproofs and make snow angels, and those that like to turn up the heating, turn on the telly and make a big mug of cocoa?

No prizes for guessing which camp I fall into

OP posts:
QS · 19/01/2009 11:26

erm.....

in the ruddy cheeks camp.

MadameOvary · 19/01/2009 11:26

QS that was a X-post btw
Snowleopard I am in Corstorphine.

snowleopard · 19/01/2009 11:27

I'm in both camps! Run out into the snow, lark about for as little time as possible, then you have deserved an enormous hot chocolate, heating, telly and sitting on the sofa with a blanket.

compo · 19/01/2009 11:27

I'm defintely in the 2nd camp

snowleopard · 19/01/2009 11:28

Oh good proper snow then - don't want namby pamby localised showers I'm a good couple of miles away in Shandon.

EachPeachPearMum · 19/01/2009 11:28

I love snow MO... but I fall into the latter category, especially at the moment!

It is clear blue skies, and bright sunshine here... so sending you some rays! (cold though)

stealthsquiggle · 19/01/2009 11:29

Foot in each camp....but actually one of the things I like about snow is the whole "turn up the heating, turn on the telly and make a big mug of cocoa" thing (after the snowballs and sledging, naturally ) - that and the silence

MadameOvary · 19/01/2009 11:35

Ooh snowleopard you are quite near me.

OP posts:
mysterymoniker · 19/01/2009 11:37

see! you even have snowleopards roaming the countryside and you still want to stay indoors!

unreasonable!

Ripeberry · 19/01/2009 11:37

MadameOvary, you need to move down to the sunny south. It NEVER snows down here

mysterymoniker · 19/01/2009 11:38

WANT ONE

snowleopard · 19/01/2009 11:40

Hey! That's my mum!
