my name is the title of a Nick Drake song, then someone told me the song was about suicide, which I thought a bit miz, so I added 'star' to the end to jolly it up a bit.

ScottishMummy · 11/01/2009 23:22

black eyed dog

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 11/01/2009 23:31

Obviously, in reality I am all squidgy and squelchy. A bit like him

MarchNowFebMum · 11/01/2009 23:31

this thread has prompted me to think of a name change....present one too boring I think!

BoffinMum · 11/01/2009 23:37

Scottishmummy, I have two pairs of sandals, one of which my daughter won't allow me to wear. I do not have any cords or indeed elbow patches. I do have some Fair Trade teabags somewhere but I do not drink them. I did have my hair plaited once on an Antiguan beach, but not by a wimmin's co-operative.

I suppose you wear tartan underwear and only take your cagoule off when you have a (cold water) bath??

BlackEyedDogstar · 11/01/2009 23:51

ScottishMummy what's the link about?

OP posts:
leothelioness · 12/01/2009 07:23

well how about my nickname...
I think my name just serves to remind me that I should be more assertive and leo the lioness sounds more cool than leo the kitten

bellavita · 12/01/2009 08:56

what about me then?

giantkatestacks · 12/01/2009 09:41

a bit like nigella lawson with a nice big glass of red in front of you...

bellavita · 12/01/2009 09:43

giantkatestacks - is that me you are talking about lol

giantkatestacks · 12/01/2009 09:51

yep...there also may be a chaise longue and a languid air involved...

bellavita · 12/01/2009 09:57

Do you know what giantkate - I will take that as a huge compliment, because I love Nigella (although am so nothing like her) and cooking/baking is my passion.

Renni · 12/01/2009 10:18

Renni · 12/01/2009 10:19

12StoneNeedsToBe10 · 12/01/2009 11:07

HarleyQuinn · 12/01/2009 11:17

Mine is from the Batman cartoon series, I watched as a kid, always thought Harley Quin was cool

Wizzska · 12/01/2009 11:39

'...or something very rude that I would never do.... '
Lovebeingamummy - LOL!

My nickname is very dull, just a few letters out of my name. I wish I'd bothered to think of a better one, I love all the literary ones and the funny ones.

Pamelat always makes me think of Italian milk.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 13/01/2009 10:17

What a fab thread! Do me do me.

SheikYerbouti · 13/01/2009 10:19

I always imagined Intergalacticwalrus to be a cute tusky thing. Then I met her and she made me do unspeakable things round the back of the Dog n Duck, and i have never been the same since

giantkatestacks · 13/01/2009 10:35

I would be thinking more of a Judoon from Doctor Who...Or Jabba's guards...
