Oooooooh I love drinking wine! Clearly not NOW as am pg, but usually - hurrah! Well thought out, pamelat!! Not sure why, but yours is making me thinking of Pam Ayres in a chocolate shop.... still, Johnny Depp is there (as in the film Chocolat) so it can't be that bad! I think MadamOvary is tall too!

cornsilk · 11/01/2009 14:32

LOL Pamelat - Yes that's definitely me!
Your name makes me think of someone who is quite refined, long blond hair, perhaps with a PHD and dressed in Boden.

cornsilk · 11/01/2009 14:34

ooops I should have added not

Tillyscoutsmum · 11/01/2009 14:35

I suspect mine makes me look like I am a dull mumsy type with no imagination.... which was most definitely the case when I joined when dd was a newborn.

Subsequently, I'm just lazy and can't be arsed to name change to something more witty

BlameItOnTheBogey · 11/01/2009 14:38

LOL at Cathpot. One of the funniest posts I've read in ages.

sausagenmash · 11/01/2009 14:38

I wouldn't worry, tillyscoutsmum - I've just had a peek at your pics, and you look very lovely and just like a princess all dolled up on your ?wedding day! Am too scared to put any up of me - well, 1) - I don't know how and 2) ugh!

cornsilk · 11/01/2009 14:40

Tillyscoutsmum - just peeked at your profile - You are very pretty

Wonderstuff · 11/01/2009 14:42

I picked mine because it reminds me of carefree, childfree times, jumping up and down to the size of a cow. I also thought it was a good reference to my milk as bfing was finally going well for me. I hope people don't see me as big headed? I was Islasmum before, but that didn't seem too 'MN'

LOL at cathpot, thats brilliant. Sausagenmash your name makes me feel hungry!

sausagenmash · 11/01/2009 14:45

Wonderstuff - perfect! Was just thinking of that cow song!! I love sausages and mash - am going to have them as the main course at my wedding later on this year

MoreSpamThanGlam · 11/01/2009 14:46

I am glam and hate spam.

However when I joined MN several years ago I was the most insecure person on the planet. However, bankruptcy, art therapy and starting a degree means I am more glam than spam now

MoreSpamThanGlam · 11/01/2009 14:47

Although I am very cockney and a bit of an oik

Tillyscoutsmum · 11/01/2009 14:47

Thank you

Mmmmm - sausage and mash - lovely

BitOfFun · 11/01/2009 14:47

cornsilk sounds very refined to me- wasn't it a posh powder compact in the eighties? Also conjures up images of a flaxen-haired maiden from a fairytale

Wonderstuff · 11/01/2009 14:48

You should name change to that then! Celebrate your new found glam. It would still be recognisable.
Sausagenmash that sounds like its going to be a great wedding

sausagenmash · 11/01/2009 14:51

Omg just pmsl at BitOfFun's post!! I quite agree. With lovely cornflower blue eyes!

Thanks Wonderstuff - I do hope so! I love S & M (thats sausage and mash, not, um, the sex S&M stuff!) so much that I convince myself that that's the noise that trains make on the tracks. Maybe I'm just a bit loopy

mustrunmore · 11/01/2009 14:53

My name is true. I really do need to run more. after aerobics today I only managed 1.5 feeble whining laps of the park; before xmas I was doing 5 or 6

cornsilk · 11/01/2009 16:06

LOL Bit of fun!I know what you look like as have seen your dh's website.

TheProvincialLady · 11/01/2009 16:07

Pamelat I am 5'2" and you'll have to judge the witty and intelligent bit yourself...though with a 3 week old baby and a toddler, I think the answer is probably no! I always think your name sounds very refined too. Are you?!

tumpymother · 11/01/2009 16:25

I have no imagination for these sorts of name things - I have enough trouble trying to think of new passwords for annoying work computer ! so mine is my son's nickname and mother. Lord knows what image it conjures up

prettybutterfly · 11/01/2009 16:30

I am unlike a butterfly!

PB is a character in a Pratchett book, who is unsweet and ungirly. In fact she could kill you with her bare hands and looks as if she's thinking about it!

LadyGlencoraPalliser · 11/01/2009 16:33

Well, obviously you all see me like this. Don't fgs look at my profile and spoil the illusion.

giantkatestacks · 11/01/2009 16:57

pamelat - I always envisage you like the pamelaaar in gavin and stacey...

nappyzonehasastroppytoddler · 11/01/2009 18:18

Sausagemash your name just makes me hungry and yes i should immac more often!

LiffeyMermaid · 11/01/2009 18:22

Some names help you form a picture. Like LadyGencoraPallister. I picture a minor royal. Blonde, about 40.

What do I look like????

Mermaid sounds glam, but my last suffix was Oink...

pamelat · 11/01/2009 18:46

I'm not refined but am perhaps a bit reserved (quite different things!). I would like to be refined one day when/if I eventually grow up.

Has everyone had to look at Tillyscoutsmums photo's since the pretty comments, or is it just me that is that nosey?! You are very pretty Tilly
