who hasn't stopped moaning about her single status since xmas eve and said to me yesterday

though you can always answer that yes you may have a weight issue but the fact that she is a rude bitch is probably why she is single

kittycoldbum - that's what I did - I tried to make a joke of it by laughing and saying "so now we know why you're single" but it still stung.

I think it really grates her because she's slim, blonde and outwardly attractive and I'm no oil painting but I have "managed" to couple up with someone.

Sorry but I would have lobbed something at her rude, arrogant mouth if she were my friend.

Tell her not to be so bitter, it's not attractive, hence her I think appropriate status.

theres more to getting and keeping a partner than supermodel looks. as soon as hse understands that, she might be able to stop being single. until then, she might get lots of attention in clubs, but is unlikely to get rid of her single status

me and dp were having this convo last night, ive just posted on another thread about being overweight but we were talking about the daughter of someone we know who is tall, blonde gorgeous slim as you like perfectly pleasant but unbelievably vacant that its almost impossible to have a conversation with her unless its about clothes make up hair or celebs, all things i like btw but that is it! Dp was saying how one of his mates had been out with her and said how unbelievably stressful and boring it could be despite how lovely she was and you would sit there in silence!

see despite my dp thinking im a fat old cow we can also have a chat or a laugh about something, we can both be self depricating, wax lyrical over bollox and can most of the time have a chuckle in an "us against the weirdos in our village" kind if way, you are probably the same, a laugh, fun to be with, a good friend, great to chat to everything thats great rather than a bitter cow who is snippety and shitey, she (your friend) rather shallowly thinks its how you look, she has much to learn, she's no jedi yet!

It's as if she honestly believes she's more entitled to have a nice partner than me, because she's more physically attractive.

Fat doesn't equal ugly any more than thin doesn't equal attractive!

I'm fat and gorgeous.

I know a slim woman who looks like a garden rake! She's racist, nasty, patronising and a user. Her thinness cannot hide these personality traits and my DP wouldn't throw a wet nappy at her if she were on fire.

He'd throw a wet nappy at me though!

Well, she sounds as charming as my lovely sis, who pretty much said, that I only married my dh because he asked me too and I was scared of being left on the shelf

Well, me, I am38, married 13 years now, 3 ds's....she is 4 years older, still single and because she likes the nasty guy that uses her , well...what hope has she got....as soon as a guy is nice to her she gets bored......to me, that doesn't make sense...
