LucyEllensmummy · 22/12/2008 20:31

And anyway, not everyone in a HA house is on benefits, perhaps they are on a low wage and are actually paying their way as much as they can afford.

But anyway - Who cares, i don't give a stuff what people think of your house. I would never judge based on that. I would however, because we all judge if we are honest, judge you on your language and offensive manner.

noonki · 22/12/2008 20:31

but most people in HA are working zebra

pagwatch · 22/12/2008 20:31

THAT LINK DOES NOT MAKE YOUR POINT> NONE OF THEM DO !!!!

spottyoldzebra · 22/12/2008 20:32

i am mearly proving to the person that said
"I've never read a thread yet where anyone who is rightfully or understandably claiming benefits has been told to "get off benefits".

what is your point Zebra?
Do you look down on people on benefits?
Obviusly there are some people who do, but why would you care?
Why would you care if strangers think you are on benefits cos of your house?
I'm losing track of your point. You pint out that there are people who look down on benefit claiments. ok, so there is. So what?

spottyoldzebra · 22/12/2008 20:34

Hmm

well it is merely

My dad fwiw lives in a HA house

he's worked every day since he was 5, when his managerial job was lost because of the factory closing he went out and got a job cleaning sausage machines

But sadly his pension fund was lost in the collapse so they will never get out of the HA house now

Mum and Dad have never ever had a days benefits. Indeed, Mum barely walks and Dad has no feeling in his legs and they refuse to claim DLA / mobilty

So franly if thats a work ethic you think is poor, you're on another planet

needmorecoffee · 22/12/2008 20:36

so what if some mumsnetters objcet to benefits. Why is this bothering you? You said you aren't on benefits.

LucyEllensmummy · 22/12/2008 20:36

I really don't understand why this is about benefits?

This is about hyacinth bucket spotty being miffed about someone casting aspertions on her station in life according to her shit house.

spottyoldzebra · 22/12/2008 20:36

here

OP posts:
ShyBaby · 22/12/2008 20:36

Spotty...the only people who would look down on you for living in what they think is a HA house..are people exactly like you!

noonki · 22/12/2008 20:37

YABVU as you are a snob

ShyBaby · 22/12/2008 20:40

It doesn't look like a HA house. HA houses are far more spacious. Sorry op.

spottyoldzebra · 22/12/2008 20:42

so if i was upset that someone thought i was living on benefits when i wasn't that would be different would it?

funny how people on here are always telling others get get some pride and respect and get off benefits then isn't it?

OP posts:
pagwatch · 22/12/2008 20:42

here

needmorecoffee · 22/12/2008 20:45

OP posts:
spottyoldzebra · 22/12/2008 20:48

so if i was upset that someone thought i was living on benefits when i wasn't that would be different would it?

funny how people on here are always telling others get get some pride and respect and get off benefits then isn't it?

so why is it so wrong that i should object to people thinking we are not paying our way?

OP posts:
LucyJones · 22/12/2008 20:48

you are obviously very fragile and insecure to be so worried about what people think of your house and your financial status
I suggest less mumsnet and more therapy
You are gettign well and truly roasted on here, stop posting links and maybe apologise for unfortunate opening post?

Ronaldinhio · 22/12/2008 20:48

yabvu

your house looks perfectly normal

so do housing association houses

so do private tenant houses

so do council tenant houses

so do mortgaged houses

It does not look like a workhouse or any other stigmatised social housing from previous centuries
