Btw my mum has an HA house and its WAY nicer than your bought one.

PingpingsatonSantasface · 23/12/2008 14:56

Zebra if people like Herbies DH didn't fight for our country I can gureentee that you wouldn't have your wonderful house you ARSE!!!!

What a stupid comment

hercules1 · 23/12/2008 14:56

Zebra - I think you need to step away from the computer. You are coming across as a downright nasty person and frankly with a 120k house you have not much to be so stuck up about.

EachPeachPearMum · 23/12/2008 14:57

So... people being subbed are twats, and people who own their own properties are twats?
Everyone but you then soz?

And you are subbed- you get child tax credit, so really- what is your beef with people in HA/council housing?

Yes its his choice but what you don't seem to understand if it wasn't for people like Herbies DH and the armed forces you wouldn't be here in your £125,000 house.

lonevoiceinthedark · 23/12/2008 15:01

OK spotty, you wanna be like that.

Well I pity your poor effing neighbours living next to a b* like you. Bet they're scared to put a flowerpot out in case you think it lowers the tone.

And spotty, congrats to only having 10 years left on your mortgage.

Mine's paid orf.

pagwatch · 23/12/2008 15:01

Are you sure your friend said it looked like a HA house?
Are you sure she just didn't say "christ you house looks like a shit heap".

spotty you are a silly woman - do you know that?

Yes my DH chose to go in the RAF and it is just as well he and thousands of others like him did, otherwise the world would be a very dangerous place.
so fucking what, theres loads of dangerous josbs it's his choice.

FWIW we had our own 2 bed box which we sold and then bought a 3 bedroomed house. When DH was posted here we sold it - at the height of the housing market and banked the money. So who is the silly one? Not me!
well yes you.

OP posts:
sb6699 · 23/12/2008 15:03

So whats the problem in people thinking yours is an ha property.

As I said before I WANT an ha property as do many others.

Wouldn't buy in this market and privately renting costs a fortune. I pay £1k every month (which is cheap where I live) for my private rent which is tiny, cold and damp.

My dh has his own business, works 15 hours every day and brings home a reasonabe wage but after the rent, council tax and utilities we are ALWAYS broke.

Surely its common sense to apply for an ha property. Don't see the problem we've paid our taxes for years so think its reasonable to ask for cheap housing so my dc's can have an acceptable standard of living.

hercules1 · 23/12/2008 15:05

Zebra - you're ignorance re the armed forces is alarming.

snope · 23/12/2008 15:05

people lets all be nice where is the christmas spirit.
mine just cost £745 000

lonevoiceinthedark · 23/12/2008 15:06

Eek spotty, just read in your local newspaper - your neighbours have sold their house to the probation service and they're going to convert it to a halfway hostel for all sorts of crims.
House prices in the area expected to fall dramatically.
Strewth gel watcha gonna do

What is your main problem REALLY soz?

is it the fact that someone "thought" that your house was a HA house....

OR

is it the fact that you secretly wish you had a HA house that was one and didnt just "look" like one so you didnt have a house that is more than likely worth less than you brought it for all those 10 years ago? and were claiming those extra few benefits that i think you seem to be upset on missing out on.....

maybe im reading to much into it but is there a slight note of the little green eyed monster trying to escape??

ffs this is going round and round

Flihgtattendant · 23/12/2008 15:09

I have only read OP

sounds like you're fed up because your cousin thought she was being insulting

it's nothing to do with the house being hA or not

she was trying to offend you

I'd be fed up with that too but also think she was a dick for thinking hA houses were something to use as an insult

does that make sense?

snope · 23/12/2008 15:09

i think i will be your moderator now now lets be nice.

spottyoldzebra · 23/12/2008 15:10
