I live on a very busy street and in recent weeks have noticed that the frosted glass in the opposite house is completely see through and I am seeing a variety of arses belonging to various members of the family numerous times during the day. I can see them sitting on the toilet, in fact I can see everything as can the general public passing by on this street, along with at least three or four sets of neighbours on either side of me.

My friend thinks it would be too embarrassing to tell them but how it could it be more embarrassing than what is happening now? I am considering an anonymous note through the door. Any opinons?

Its their problem. Leave them to it. Wear blinkers when you walk past their house.

definately let them know. drop a note through the door if you can't do it face to face.

There are kids though. One a girl of about 11. Imagine how she would feel if she knew? Utterly mortified, or how she would feel if one of her mates happened to walk past and tell everyone at school?

I would go for the anonymous note. I would be mortified if I thought that I was giving a show for the neighbours. I think it would be a good turn to do them, but you must not let them know its you or they will never get over it.

I would want to know - so if it is me and my arse, please pop a note through the door asap.

I am a bit sensitive so please make the note very kind and make me aware that you do not object but would like to let me know so that I have the choice of shoing my arse or not.

So add a part at the bottom of the note to explain that if by any chance it is intenational then you will avert your eyes in future.

That way they will be sure you are not a peeping tom and they are acting the roll of godiva

Oh gosh - yes I remember the thread about the pamparse grass now say no more!

The house opposite me has their bathroom at the front of the house (mine's at the back) but when they were in the bathroom with the lights on we could see them showering. I didn't know what to do, but thankfully they have put up a blind now.

my bathroom is at the ffront and has frosted glass, but i have a roller blind whicih i keep permanently shut.
However when the bathroom lihght is on i do worry that it might be a 'puppet show ' effect in the street outside.

OH NO! I did not even consider that it might be someone on Mumsnet. Oh how awful would that be? They would of course know who I am as I have already said I live opposite.
