hi i am dissapointed in my friend whom i have known for "2yrs she has never invited to her home she won't even let me know her street, she has been coming to my hse and we do a lot of things together, i know a lot of people are intimidated with my hme- its a long story (big mortgage ect) but i am really down to earth our babies are the same age apart from that she is lovely.

"the front bit opens on to the Thames"

Does the Ocado man arrive by barge...?

wotuhohohoinat · 12/12/2008 13:45

Bitchy? Moi?
I just thought you sounded rather pompous describing your house as 'intimidating'. You don't know where your friend lives - she may have a mansion and not want you to feel bad.

Kitteh · 12/12/2008 14:23

NotSo, it is really hard isnt it.. I dont really know how to stop feeling like it.. its funny how when things take hold they can really restrict us..

lipstickjungle · 12/12/2008 14:24

wotu she has told me she lives in a one bedroom flat so that bit i know about her-anywhere there is more to life than all this.
am freezing in my castle so feeling so sorry about the bitchy remark.

I can't have peeps back to mine as I don't have one, I am staying with my mum, with my daughter and I in one room. Maybe she doesn't want to tell you that or something similar. It's not much fun for a grown up to admit to after all.

nappyaddict · 12/12/2008 14:28

Tippy - same here. doesn't your mum let you have people over either? it sucks doesn't it

TippytheTipsyTurkeychick · 12/12/2008 14:30

Ah she would but it would mean a sitting room full of people and kids, a big mess, I'd feel I was driving my mum and step dad out of their own home. Maybe the girl the OP knows has something similar to cope with.

nappyaddict · 12/12/2008 14:31

Tippy - can you not have people around when your mum and step-dad are out? that's what i do.

wotuhohohoinat · 12/12/2008 14:43

Lipstick, you never said that she told you that before.

Shefflin · 12/12/2008 15:21

She sounds like one bad meff. Tell her to do one.

Pimmpom · 12/12/2008 15:28

Shefflin, are you bored today?

Shefflin · 12/12/2008 15:30

Aye. I don't even know Mrs Bucket or her pal. How you?

wotuhohohoinat · 12/12/2008 15:32

Lol at Mrs Bucket!

mazzystartled · 12/12/2008 15:37

It sounds a little bit sad to me. It makes me wonder if she has got a miserable git of a husband whv doesn't like people coming round or something horrible like that.
