I drink their slightly sparkling water and i order it at CS when i want to stock up and buy 6 cases (72 Bottles) and the beauty is they are the shrink wrapped cases so no wandering bottles in the shed floor.

Not a help to NAO tho.

It's sort of karma isn't it?

Tesco shafts small businesses in all ways either its suppliers or the local small shops and then they come and buy stuff from them to resell. I don't personally have a problem with it.

I detest Tescos and only go in there when I absolutely have to! Our was recently refurbished and has become a tesco extra - full of more non food rubbish. To get to the bread you have to walk right to the top left hand corner of the store - doh!!

Plus they got rid of all the self service tills and the harsh lighting in there makes me feel ill!!

Rant over

8 limit rule my eye

We regularly buy 10 packs or more of the cheapy noodles because I shop fortnightly and it's about the only carb food my DC's agree on

Our Tesco had this policy till about 4 years ago. They refused to sell a local youth group, x amounts of packets of biscuits for a sleepover. Leaders went to the local paper with it. The majority of Voluntary groups in our town belong to a mailing list operated by a member of the Town Council. We were all urged by this person to pre-order our "bulk buys" (not to antagonise Tesco, just informing us that we could have issues at the checkout if we didn't). Unfortunatly this all came out just at the begining of the Summer Holidays when most of us were going away on Camp/Holiday/Sleepovers. Tesco got over whelmed with leters for bulk orders (mainly bread/milk/fruit) and decided it would be best to over rule their policy

Now thats people power!

Not in Sheringham are you NaO? I'm impressed by the town managing to hold out of Tescos so far.

I thought of you today NotanOtter, the man in front of me at ASDA had 30 pizzas and nothing else at all. I really wanted to ask him what they were for and so did the checkout girl but we refrained. The checkout girl said last time she'd asked a question like that it had been someone catering for a funeral
30 pizzas ... i thought maybe the man was doing his big monthly shop
