there's a programme on ITV now about it being 25 years since the first Now Thats What I Call Music... album - they have acts on it like Howard Jones etc. Apart from it being an extended advert I was singing along with the songs (Heaven 17 ) and suddenly realised that listening to this stuff now is like people listening to Buddy Holly or the like when I was a child - OMG

Well I too am old, the other day saw a couple of police women and they looked like children!

Tommy · 21/11/2008 22:25

I was 16 in 1983 so that music is all just what I was listening to

mamadiva · 21/11/2008 22:25

Who is Howard Jones?

NoBiggy · 21/11/2008 22:26

Was listening to the radio at work the other week, one of those 9 hits from a certain year things.

So I was remembering all these songs 1973, and my assistant revealed that he was born in

1990!!!!!

ThePenguinProject · 21/11/2008 22:26

DH and I were talking about how some of the music we currently like will be the equivalent of "Tiger Feet" when DS is older (he's 5 months old).

How dated does thriller look btw?

Hassled · 21/11/2008 22:29

Tiger Feet - now you're talking

Was 16/17 in 1983. And I love Buddy Holly. Not sure what my point is really...

lilolilmanchester · 21/11/2008 22:33

mamadiva, was just about to post "WHO IS HOWARD JONES " then realised your Mum is 7 years younger than me!!!!!!!!!!! So you're forgiven!

mamadiva · 21/11/2008 22:35

Lilo.

poppy34 · 21/11/2008 22:37

dh was 24 and I was 11 so that sort of changes our perspective for both of us - both of us agree nik k hasn't aged well

ontheup · 21/11/2008 22:39

Look at Lamahl's crow's feet!!!!!!!!! Glad i am not the only one btw. I was 13 in 1983. I remeber Tiger Feet playing at a Christmas party when I was at nursery...sorry
