dh needs to see a consultant, its a 12 week wait nhs or if you pay, to see the same dr they can get you in, in a few weeks

dont think theres much wrong with people all earning similar amounts actually.

Pay £80 for a private consult then ask to be referred to the NHS.

I don't have time to read 7 pages of posts but freespirit, what exactly is wrong with your dh? I have had to wait a heck of alot longer than 12 weeks to see a consultant in the past.

If his problem isn't urgent, and it wont do him harm to wait then he can wait.

YABU. If you have money, then why shouldn't you get quicker health care?

At least people get seen here. There are countries in the world where you can't get any treatment without any money. So think about that. We're lucky.

BTW, I don't have private health care or anything. My family and I rely on the NHS.
