AIBU to want to maim/kill my s/o?

Apologies for hogging the forum but I'm having major man troubles today.

Now it's my s/o. I bought 10 bottles of diet coke specifically for us to take to college. 5 for him, 5 for me.

I was off Monday so I didn't have one that day, he took one to college.

I did take a bottle today, and I've just looked in the cupboard to find just one bottle there.

That means that over 2 days he's consumed 8 bottles.

Obviously there's some part of ''I've bought soft drinks for ''us'' to take to college''

I don't mind him drinking bottles at night but surely it's considerate to leave at least a bottle or two for your s/o?

There's milk, 2 types of squash,4 types of fruit juice and water to drink, it's not as though I'm depriving him of fluids.

AIBU to want to maim him a little?

IS it Significant other?

blueskyandsunshine · 04/11/2008 21:29

He may be addicted and endangering his health. Google "diet coke addiction".

falcon · 04/11/2008 21:29

Significant other aka partner, though at the moment I have other names for him that seem much more suitable.

And this is major man trouble?

Goodness, what happens if something really goes wrong in your life?

TurkeyLurkey · 04/11/2008 21:30

Be like proper students and write your name on everything.

captainmummy · 04/11/2008 21:30

Maim him? Over diet coke?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

falcon · 04/11/2008 21:30

No it's not major having other issues too.

I just prefer to discuss the light and fluffy issues, need a bit of light relief and to vent.

Yes. Get over it and get a can from the vending machine.

Simplysally · 04/11/2008 21:30

Hide your bottles next time.

scaryfucker · 04/11/2008 21:30

falcon · 04/11/2008 21:31

It's not just diet coke. It's everything we(I) buy.

Now if he'd eaten all my chocolate I could get revved up about it .

blueskyandsunshine · 04/11/2008 21:32

ok if these are 33cl bottles then he is drinking a litre of diet coke a day

that is quite serious bananas

blueskyandsunshine · 04/11/2008 21:32

ha! a litre and a third

TurkeyLurkey · 04/11/2008 21:32

Get yourself a black marker pen I tell thee. Tis the way forward, you are students after all .

UpJacobscreek · 04/11/2008 21:33

You should take a break from each other........

a diet coke break

sorry .

falcon · 04/11/2008 21:35

LOL No need to be sorry. It made me laugh.

It isn't that I mind buying more diet coke it's just the lack of consideration that bothers me.

Hide everything you want then. I used to hide any goodies I wanted from my ex (I used to sleep with stashes of chocolate under my pillow) as otherwise he'd clear the fridge/cupboards. He viewed eating up food 'left lying around' like climbing Everest. Had to be done since it was there and never mind you might be hungry tomorrow. I'm not sure if it was lack of self-control or just thoughtlessness.

I used to feel stingy or angry by turns .

falcon · 04/11/2008 21:37

Am I the only one who lives with a fridge hog?

The other day it was soup, I'd made a big pot of soup, had half of it left for lunch, woke up in the morning and he'd taken the lot, leaving only a dribble in the pot but having taken care to pick every bit of chicken out of it.

With that much caffeine inside him, he must be running around in circles and up all night.

captainmummy · 04/11/2008 21:42

Oh well in that case you are quite within your rights I think to kill and/or maim.

End of problem, one way or another.

Is it me or are there an awful lot of bored and rather precious people on here tonight?

falcon · 04/11/2008 21:44

This forum is ideal for the purpose of venting over usually minor things, nothing wrong with that.

Besides I'm trying to keep myself busy doing something other than strangling my s/o while nervously waiting for the election results.
