AIBU to call someone a troll because of their name

I had my suspicions already due to content of their thread (and on research, some of their other threads too)

but does anyone else think it is funny that someones name would be an anagram of "a finer trol" (Yes , missing an l, poetic licence anyone)

I bet they are having a laugh as we speak

or have I watched one detective film/done one cryptic crossword too many?

If I was a troll and making myself an anagram name, I would make sure it had all the right letters!

loobeylou - I don't think you are being at all unreasonable to be on troll alert because there's loads about. I get weird theories about posters every week.

Psycho, I disagree, i think trolling and troll spotting can be fun. They are not always out to cause trouble or be mean/hurt people, just wanting to see how long they can get away with it/string people along. Like asking for advice about bizarre situations and the like to see who falls into their trap.

the thing is tho, most people only shout troll when they think the poster is Up To No Good, and so someone being accused of trolling could be very upset and hurt if they are genuine.

now, the funny and obvious ones are just that.....FUNNY AND OBVIOUS.

so, I always think that unless obvious, you don;t say anything as they might not take the joke of it all.

unless of course in the course of their posting they are risking hurting someone/many.

I think tolls are funny. I certainly wouldn't get worked up about them. On the whole they are dicks, why bother?
