To want to get this girl into as much trouble as possible?

I was sent a link to a video on youtube by my sister who currently attends one of the worst schools in Britain.

The video features a 14 year old scum child beating up a girl down an alleyway close to the school whilst being filmed on mobile phone which was then obviously uploaded onto youtube.

It's disgusting. It makes me so mad that this is the kind of shit that decent kids have to put up with just to get an education.

I'm wondering what to do with the video ... I want something done about her.

I can either send the link to the school and hope they take action on her

Send the link to the local newspaper who have been running stories on the school since september or ...

Send the link to the police.

AIBU to want to get this kid into as much trouble as possible??

I would send it to the police and the school.

zookeeper · 01/11/2008 08:52

I'd do all three TANBU - both children might get the help they need

I would do all three, my son was bullied at his school for 4 years and in the end I had the sum child and his scum father arrested.

Please do something, the poor child who was attacked will be going through hell

zookeeper · 01/11/2008 09:00

"scum"

KeepInMyImagination · 01/11/2008 09:01

yes scum, sometime you just have to admit that there are scummy people out there that do scummy things,

zookeeper · 01/11/2008 09:01

Says more about you than them imo

firstontheway · 01/11/2008 09:01

That's so so terrible
That poor girl

YANBU even a teensy teeny weeny bit. I'd contact the police and school, and wait to see what they did before contacting the paper. But I wonder if they'd be able to do a lot anyway re:running the story with photo/ name if she is under 16?

littleducks · 01/11/2008 09:03

all three

CaptainKarvol · 01/11/2008 09:05

All three. ASAP. Scum IMO too.

ForeverOptimistic · 01/11/2008 09:06

Oh come on zookeeper, it is hard not to think otherwise isn't it?

ForeverOptimistic · 01/11/2008 09:07

Ignore the random "not". It is early.

MrsSnape · 01/11/2008 09:07

I take it your kids have never been bullied/attacked zookeeper? And what else would you call someone who violently attacks another child and then puts the video on youtube?!

compo · 01/11/2008 09:09

zookeeper why do you object to the word scum?

KeepInMyImagination · 01/11/2008 09:12

zookeeper when you have had your child, beaten, held under water at a school swimming lesson, tormented to the point that they want to kill themself, all by one ^scummy little shit child, had the father of that scummy little shit^ child turn up and kick your front door yelling and screaming and then turn up at the school with his half brother and threaten you calling you a cock sucking cunting whore in front of a playground full of 5/6/7 year olds then by all means give them a hug and help them resolve their issues.

I would say they are scum, behave like scum and me calling them scum is only telling the truth, by the way the dad did some time for running some chaps over cause he don't likes pakies... go on tell me they are nice people not scum.

scummy little shit

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 01/11/2008 09:13

I wouldn't send it to the newspaper - only because I wouldn't trust them not to ID the victim and she may not want that.

Send it to both school and police and make sure that the school know it's been sent to the police.

Personally I think scum is a perfectly acceptable description.

KeepInMyImagination · 01/11/2008 09:15

Nice people DO NOT KICK SHIT OUT OF SOMEONE IN AN ALLYWAY

needmorecoffee · 01/11/2008 09:15

a crime has been witnesses. Send it to the police and school.

TheDuchessOfNorksDied · 01/11/2008 09:16

Do all 3 and do it quickly before YouTube take the clip down.

Fighting is never nice and the videoing is a scum thing to do, but I wouldn't call the child scum. If it's such a bad school then it is probably festering a hit-or-be-hit ethos and teenagers have a hard enough time trying to find where they fit in at the best of times. People make mistakes and I'd prefer not to label someone this early in their life based on one event.

BouncingTurtleSkulls · 01/11/2008 09:17

Sorry, but 14yo is oldest to know it is dispicable behaviour to do what the OP saw in the youtube video.

Suppose she and her parents will trot out the old line about having a hard life/parents on benefits/broken home and all that shit.

Sorry love but my childhood wasn't exactly a bed of roses but I managed to get through it with out dealing with my anger issues by kicking 10tes of crap out of other kids

KeepInMyImagination · 01/11/2008 09:17

Can I just ask what sort of person films this and puts it on the Internet?

TheDuchessOfNorksDied · 01/11/2008 09:25

What sort of person video's it? A weak person being bullied into it. A confused person misguidedly trying to impress others. A bully trying to frighten people. Or a scumbag.

As I no nothing about the victim, the child giving the beating or the person holding the camera, I couldn't say for sure. I don't even know if the latter two were in cahoots.

TheDuchessOfNorksDied · 01/11/2008 09:25

As I know
