Licking fingertips to turn pages ....

What do you think? - 'yuck'/'that noise makes me want to scream', or 'it's utterly normal, get a life'?

Am trying to decide how to handle a situation so input really appreciated - posts saying just YUCK or LIFE will be accepted. Ta

I am not sure I think anything. It it such a normal and inconsequential thing that I rarely notice. Not sure how it makes a noise either.

To wolf - just one of those perfectly-nice but has-a-habit office-mate things - need some ammunition to persuade myself I am being neurotic about it (so artichokes's response exactly what's needed).

(A bit different from a dh with same habit, there I think I'd be entitled to mind.)

I did once get told off in a library for turning pages too noisily. Go for the poisoned page corner, a la Name of the Rose.

YANBU, it really does my head in. I couldn't give you a coherent answer as to why, but it does. Why go to the bother of licking fingers!
