It is so filthy, and looks especially bad in the sunshine. We have a shared driveway and I hate that my guests have to see it as they arrive.

If she can't be bothered to wash it (and she spends enough time smoking in the garden every day to wash it ten times over fgs) she could at least park it in the garage.

Go and shit on the windscreen, then she'll have to wash it.

Yes Expat, that is true. My cousin lived in Germany for several years and within a couple of months of moving in had neighbours calling in 'just to remind her' to wash her car and windows on a regular basis.

She really didn't like living in Germany !

I lived on the German/Franco border - well, you could see Germany from my bedroom window - and I loved how my host mother had 'days' for doing stuff. Like, Monday for washing, Tuesday for helping the charwoman, Wednesday for sweeping the courtyard, etc.

Saturday was for gardening and washing the cars.

I was shocked when she gave me a broom and ordered me to go out to the front and sweep the footpath in front of our house, so my host brother could come and hose it down afterwards.

Until I walked out with a broom and saw all the neighbours doing the same thing!

I LOVED it there! So did my dad on a visit. With an ear to ear smile on his face he said, 'It's just like being back in the Army.'
